Well...fuck. I just did this post and then the computer lost it (not my own computer so no lazerus) and I'm pretty much out of time so, lets kick this into high speed, high shit mode. Also, I'm heading home tomorrow so my schedule will be much more stable.
Thomas attempts to open up a video and audio feed of the outside, without making any moves that the civilians could see. He makes Team A the recipients of the feed.
"Probably to another planet where you can start over, but we're just here to tell you all that you can get out of here."
[Team B Leader=Milno]
"Oh, tell them we found both the governor and his daughters dead in a building on the floor above." Milno says to Thomas. "Remind them we are only trying to take them to the APCs that'll take them out of this quarantined zone."
"We'll load you onto an APC, and you'll be out of here. It's not safe here. We found the governor and his daughter dead up a level."
You open a video feed entirely using your tongue, but only get it out to milno, because you're not THAT skilled. Clearly gonna need to practice with May some more eh?
The angry peeps seem very taken aback by what you say and ask you what happened to the governor, if you and your team killed him, etc.
"Erm... The door is open. I opened it. Do you and Spoonman wanna go check it out while I go help the boss? The man in there looks dead anyway. I mean you would have to be preety stoned to miss a miner breaking down your door."
"Indeed! I must be stoned. Stoned like a heretic in a crowd of the pious! I will examine this possibly-dead man!"
These memory and perception issues were really beginning to bother Stacy. How could he miss that, indeed? Well, better mess around before somebody catches on.
Ready monoatomic razor and examine the person at the desk. On a scale of 1 to 13, how alive does it seem? Take a look at the radio equipment as well. Watch out for alien/mutant/plague victim traps and treachery.
He looks 100% not alive. Namely because of the fact that there is a pistol laying on the ground a few feet from him, under the desk and a nice hole in his sternum. Also, in looking at the radio equipment you see, thanks to an Aux roll, that the music playing doesn't seem to be the only thing going on here. There was something recorded from the DJ mike.
Well, that was easier than expected.
Search the building to ensure that nobody stayed behind. Also catalogue anything that remains that may be of use, and examine the wire I picked up from that primitive alarm.
The wire is just normal wire, the kind you carry electricity through with the rubber coating and everything.
You search the building and find no one who stayed behind. As per objects there are no weapons or armor or other such things. Mostly just garbage and other things that don't tell you much about the situation. Unless you can decipher the machinations of the universe out of crudely drawn penises on a wall.
Go into the old guy's house. Look for any computers, datapads or communication equipment.
There are no datapads in the man's house or other such things. Perhaps it is on his person? Perhaps you could search the corpse you just made? Perhaps these clues are a bit too blatant?
((I still don't know how the disease works, but I also think it'll take a good amount of time until Milno's lungs dissolve. I don't want to be robotic, and this is yet another reason why I should be more wary of testing dangerous equipment in the field, especially when said field includes a generous amount of enemies. ))

Check if the MkIII has any switch or similar trigger to activate the lid system to amputate a member and keep the suit sealed.

Your aux roll showed that it existed but didn't allow you to see which one you were activating. there are just a bunch of numbers from like 1 to 47, and an option to close or open the seal they're used for.
Jim assists Simus in sweeping the building.
You come up with Simus and draw penises on the wall when she isn't looking. She stares at them for a long time trying to discern their meaning while you giggle behind her. Eventually she turns around and reminds you that robots can't actually giggle and you feel sad.
Hearing the shot and seeing the man fall over backwards, Bishop gives into the urge and facepalms, despite the helmet.
"Well done guys. Well fucking done. Let's get a move on before skippy over there gets any ideas about us. I'm clearing this building while you guys do whatever."
Clear the building I'm in of hostiles or civilians. Make sure to stay quiet and on alert.
The only hostile in the building is Sambo. No civilians, no murder giants, no alien skull molesters, just some guy who won't stop screaming about pinkos and waving his gun around like a flasher with something to prove.
[Team A Medic - Mesk]
"Runner's no threat, just headed for the APC. I'll meet back up with you all."
Regroup.
You head back to The building and find the robots yelling at each other. You sit back and hold your hands in front of you, pretending to play rockem sockem robots.
((Sorry, last post got broken up by reality. Blonde, big boobs, long story. ))
((Must... resist... stupid joke... Too easy...
God damn you sambo, you ain't making it easy for me.))
'Ah, flint. Good you're here, I think I saw somebody up there still alive. We'll have to convince them we're not here to harm them, but my appearance might intimidate them. Could you check out that building where I saw movement?'
'Hey feyri, when you're ready, could you come over and join flint in searching that building? You'know, buddy system and all that.'
Point flint and feyri to the building where I saw movement, then put speakers on max and declare following:
'Attention civilians, we are here to rescue you. There are transports waiting to take you to the surface. Please come out so we can get you to safety. Or at least send someone we can talk to.'
You catch another glimpse of movement as whoever or whatever is in there sticks their head up to look at you and then scurries away. They're pretty small, childsize by the look of it. Maybe ash elves or shadow goblin.
"FORSOOTH!"
Team D - Lukas
Lukas sighs after seeing Sambo shoot the poor guy. "Well, maybe it's for the best. He looked like he was going to flip. I'll go check some other houses."
Check another house (try to open door). Keep an eye on Faith as much as possible.
You open one door with another door for the sake of irony and proceed to batter and smash your way through the house, walking through walls, stomping accidently into the basement and generally blundering about with all the gentle grace of a colorectal exam being performed by a doctor with Parkinson's disease, using a medieval mace.
You find no one in the house or on the bottom of your feet when you're finished.

Name:Flint/Deeper Scum - Team C - Radio Building
@Miyamoto:"I think that my appearance if anything would probably be more intimidating than yours. Are you forgetting that I am in a mining exosuit, covered in dried blood, carrying a truckload of weapons and that everyone we've met so far had only bad things to say about the 'Deepers'? And I'm not removing my suit when we're out here. I mean, in a building I'd feel more comfortable but out here one sniper round and I'm a goner, either from the shot or the plague. I'll try approaching the building and see what happens. If worse comes to worse, we can just wait for them to run out of ammo. How many weapons and ammo can this colony have?"
Go to Miyamoto. Start approaching the building he points me to with my shield up. After Miyamoto speaks his message speak mine:"This is a UWM rescue team. We are here to help you. Our orders are to escort you to the main elevator, from where you will be transferred to a UWM refugee camp and given food, shelter and medicine. If there are infected amongst you they will be cured by our medical experts once they reach the refugee camp. Please, we mean you no harm. Send someone here to talk to us and we shall prove it."
Flint hated lying to these people, especially when talking about the UWM, but he believed that their chances of survival were better up there, with whatever these UWM scum were planning to do to them, then down here with the HMRC. At least up there they had a chance, however slim, to survive.
Yeah you go see the giant canopener and help him yell impotently at a building. The wreckage faries or rebar leprechaun doesn't show itself.
"Bah, I never get to have any fething fun."
Follow Stacy, stay somewhat behind her and see how the would-be-corpse turns out, boil the would-be-cropse's head if it turns out not to be a corpse. Look around for anything dangerous/of interest in the room. grab stuff if it is interesting and harmless.
"You all right there, little spoon?"
See stacy's post. Because thats basically what you see. Dead man at chair, broadcast equipment, something recorded on the broadcast computer thing. No gold or jewels or diamond encrusted hookers, unfortunately.
Again, sorry for the brevity and nonchalance but time has got a garote on me. Better soon though.
