[Team B Leader=Milno]

Milno kept his motion sensor on, scanning the area around.
"Not much to see around here, eh?"

Double check the jail cells and rooms for anyone still living. If nothing is found and the team is ready to move on, then send an "All clear." to Command.

Spoiler: A-B Teams (click to show/hide)

You head up to the top floor and land next to the cell closest to the wall. It's empty, the door is open and there is a very definite blood splatter against the wall and a pool of blood on the ground.  A drag mark leads from that pool, out to the railing of the upper level and then vanishes. The next 8 or so cells are the same way. The 9th cell, however, is open but clean, with no traces of blood. The rest are the same  way, empty and clean.

"Looks clear here, no signs of life."

Looks like a mass grave and execution site.

Check if any of the armor is still in a state to be useful.
It looks like a few of these guys still have their armor on and it looks alright and intact...bit bloody, but that will wash right out.

[Team A Medic - Mesk]

Poking his head around the corner and seeing no hostiles, Mesk enters the building behind the rest of the group.
"Let's hope the rest of the building is this empty..."
Examine the corpses, determine causes and times of death.  Also look for usable equipment.
You're not sure how long they've been dead exactly, but it's been a while. The cause of death varies a great deal. Some look to have been beaten to death, their skulls smashed or limbs broken, others were thrown off the upper railing, judging by the splatter, while others still were shot.  The only combat equipment you can find on their scattered bodies is body armor, not exactly something you really care about, regeneration and all.

"Right, now seems like a good time to talk about dividing this place into quadrants. Simus, Mesk, Ashley, I'm giving you a few moments to do anything you want to do (one turn, maybe two if there's something you absolutely want to accomplish in this room but don't get to the first turn. After that, anyone on Team A who insists on faffing about is getting drug to the stairs, probably with the manipulation amp :P) but then I want you to rally here," Jim said, standing at the foot of the stairs. "We're going to be one of the teams taking the second floor."
You walk to the stairs and make a proclamation while Milno steals your glory and your job.

Brother Lars shrugged.  "I don't blame them.  The Blueshirts were ex-prisoners, right?  Would you rather hang out in a prison or a nice stately governmental building?  I doubt there's a thing here."

Search for PHAT LEWT... errr artifacts of a holy nature, of course.
You search over the bodies. There are a few sets of body armor around but no weapons or other combat equipment. You do, however, find yourself a data pad; its on the body of this guy with a red stripe on his helmet.

Name:Flint/Deeper Scum - Team C - Prison

By now Flint had started getting used to the sight of bodies strewn about this colony. The realization created worry in him. If he got used to dead bodies that quickly, how long before he got used to the idea of killing? The only hope was that he wouldn't have to kill.

"All those dead. And for what? To quench the thirst of the governors for wealth and power."

Look for anything that might hold information, like datapads and computers.

((Aren't the people who had their suits torn, or people in general worried about the implications of what command said to Faith? "I'm not letting possibly contaminated material escape the quarantine zone!" or something like that. Technically, we're all (except for the synthetics perhaps) possibly contaminated material.))

You start to search over the bodies when you notice lars pulling a datapad from one of them. You run over to him, intent on reading over his shoulder.

Follow near the back, look around, switching between normal, heat detection and X-ray.
You switch around between your vision modes, and discover a few things:
1. Milno and Bishop's rockets play havoc with your heat detection.
2. Xray doesn't work so well against suits and metal. You can see the skeletons of the bodies though, so thats kinda cool.

Go upstairs. Start looking for interesting stuff. See if there's a prison guard's quarters or admin section.

"gumble, grumble, extra-swearing-for-no-reason, insert-Australianism-here."

((So are you feeling a bit better PW?))
(I think so. Not 100%, but not "Oh god my organs are trying to pack up and leave for some reason what do")

Rather then head up stairs, which Milno seems to be handing, you head over to what looks like a guard's quarters/admin area/something over in the corner of the ground floor. The room is fairly neat and tidy with a panel that controls the opening and closing of the cells and a computer terminal. There's a door to a back room with lockers -probably guard's quarters- and an industrial washing and drying machine behind that.

Team D Leader Faith, Prison Hall

"Well... off we go."

Lead team in searching the ground floor for anything of note, including any plague-infected bodies.

Leading from behind Lukas's shield of a body, of course.

You keep behind Lukas as you look around for any body that shows signs of infection. You don't find anyone who looks to have died of sickness, though it's kind of hard to tell, they are a bit...ripe.

"Oh... More dead. Delightful."
Jobasio grimaced within his helmet as he stepped carefully inside, hugging the walls of the room so as not to step on any corpses.
"I doubt anything is alive in here. No-one but a complete madman would choose to stay in this place, and evidently the people who did this were quite sane, if desperate. Let's just take a cursory glance around and move on."

>Go with team to take a quick glance around, confirm there's nothing there, then leave the prison ASAP.
You walk into the prison, put your hands on your hips and look around.

"yeeeeeeep."

You turn on your heel and walk back out, propping yourself up against the doorjam and waiting for the rest of the team to stop playing with corpses.

Check it out. Be a super secret spy.
You hum the pink panther theme and scoot along the ground on your stomach. Most of the time this sort of behavior would draw people's attention. In your case not behaving like this would actually be more abnormal.

Collect the most intact and least filthy armor, put it on under the phase suit, if possible. make sure it's all working correctly by attempting to "phase through" a cell door, but not actually entering the cell.

Check the bodies for skeletal damage, as well as anything they may be carrying that would be helpful. Take the holsters for the weapons, put on the armor, etc.

[Team A Medic - Mesk]

"Everyone who isn't a giant death robot like them or a super regenerating super hero like me should get some armour on.  The less work I have to do the happier I'll be."
Get some body armour on anyway - an ounce of prevention etc.  Then form up with Jim.
"So, are we looking for the people who massacred these guys?"

(Before I answer Remalle... Is the prison really so small that Milno already explored the entire second floor? It looked bigger on the map. O.o)

Check around to see if there's some sort of prison warden room and anything of note in there. Also look for any datapads that might be lying around.

Team D Leader Faith, Prison

"Do I count as a giant robot?" Faith asked Mesk teasingly.

Inspect that back room/locker area, Lukas-first.

[Team B Leader=Milno]

"Anything noteworthy?" Milno asks, arms behind his head leisurely.

Re-check the top level for signs of life and/or objects of interest, if nothing is found then move back downstairs.

Jobasio glanced back inside, saw the others still wandering about, and sighed. He eased himself down into a sitting position against the wall to one side, placed his rifle across his legs and got out his datapad.
'At least I have a bit of time to work on this, finally. Successful idea or not, it certainly beats staring at mangled corpses.'

>Sit to one side of the prison entrance and work on the design for that 'gauss rifle targeting shield' I described earlier.

>Keep my rifle handy just in case any hostiles should appear from who-knows-where. Glance down the hall every so often to check.

"I found a data pad... reading it now."

Do so.  Also loot body armor if I can wear it.

((When did you last leave off?

The most recent thing is we joined up and are exploring the prison. There's a pile of prisoner bodies in the middle and then a bunch of prisoner and guard bodies all around, so it's hard to say exactly what happened but a mass execution followed by prison riot/uprising/invasion sounds likely.

No one appears to be around. We haven't necessarily explored the whole thing yet, but it looks pretty open and there's not a lot of reason anyone would be hanging around.))

Check somewhere where the others haven't for signs of life. Be careful of lurking prisoners.

And yes, Exams are the culprit as well as holiday preparations. Also, apologies if any of my descriptions delve into medical terminology, my studies are swimming in my head O_o))

Take pistol that was offered a turn or so ago. Start moving to the prison area.

Feyri Nirel ; Team C Mercenary, Topographically near Milno.

Feyri tapped on her wristpad, saving some pertinent information as to the illness.

Quote from: Feyri Nirel ; Personal Diary//Off Datapad log
So the colony doctors have diagnosed it spreading orally, via any expectoration...containing the person's blood. So that means the pathogen exists in the bloodstream, probably the medium of transport or preferred environment. Unsure whether viral, bacterial or parasitic. Fungi are clear off...unless there is something that can survive without oxygen. Er...

Still, this place gives me the creeps. Jim is doing fine, as well as the rest. Command is being a secret seal of information regarding basic information, we're being used as minesweepers (see: Human Minesweeping.), and they probably are doing something above us and not telling us on whatever is going on. But maybe that's just me adapting to dehumanization due to our [STUPID] dictatorial hierarchy.

I'm glad we've these MK I suits...

Have to watch out for any exposed wounds, any material shields would do for small arms fire. Wonder what really happened and why nobody even had a leash on the governor...There are supposed to be laws and ordinances regarding this! Or did their law system fall into decay? Nevertheless...I really have to be direct to the point with all these blueshirts ignoring my questions.

"I'm guessing we're still sticking with the teams we've been set in despite being together, right?"

Examine the bloodstains. In their full description. Is there anything wrong with it - other than being clotted if any - like the composition or color?
