"You do know I can Fucking hear you Milno, also if you want to shoot me, I suggest you do it now, instead of hiding behind fake bravado."

"I know you can hear me, and you were already told to calm the fuck down and stop trying to screw with the mission. I won't shoot you unless it is necessary, no need to be so eager for a round up your ass."

"Also, if you don't want to be treated like an idiot, stop acting like one."

"First of all, the only one I see being an idiot here is you Milno, you're going to trust these mass murderers for no good reason, and then when I tell my FUCKING OPINION you threaten to kill me! And You!" Bruce says turning to Thomas "He's not my leader, and as for experience, that means Fucking nothing when life and death is decided by the luck of the draw."
Thomas' voice was measured and calm. For once, there was no quiver, no fear in his tone.
"He's the leader of A squad. You're a member of B squad. A leader outranks a member. They lead. Jim outranks Milno for your squad. I don't see him backing up your trying to kill their messenger."

"Not going to, either. The way I see it this is a chance to resolve the situation with as few casualties on our side as possible. If it becomes necessary then we'll do what we have to to ensure our own survival, but until then I'm giving them a chance to surrender. I can't fault you for staying cautious, but do quiet down. The less we're shot at, the better, Bruce. I'd recommend that instead of arguing, you should find adequate cover, just in case," Jim said over the coms.

[From Team A team member Bruce to Team A/Team B]
"This wasn't personal until Milno threatend to kill me, and how was I supposed to know that Milno, I'm fine with the screw them over plan but I do not appreciate the insults and threats, don't say what you can't do."

"Think twice before saying anything when you're in a situation where you may get your teammates killed due to sheer stupidity. Man up and stop whining, I'm not supposed to be a babysitter."

"If I wanted to shoot you, I wouldn't warn you. I would just do it. Think about it. I'm just saying that if you keep being a nuisance to the team, you'll be killed, even if temporarily."
Milno completed over the comms, expecting at least that Bruce'd tone down his suicidal actions since Jim had spoken.

((Also, heads-up: if Bruce turns into a real problem to the team, he is being shot down (temporary death) or at the very least having his gun taken. Or both.))

Try to break the curse of medical incompetence. That is to say, actually treat May's wounds this time.

((Two 1's in a row for medical rolls, thankfully I have that +1 modifier. Now watch me roll a 6 and cauterize the wound with my MFM.))
[med:6+1]

You whip out your MFM and head for May when Thomas slaps it out of your hands and shoves you back with Mesk.

"Can I get a doctor that isn't a goddamn butcher here?" he yells to the heavens, or at least the ceiling.

((Totally called it.))

Retrieve MFM, and wonder why playing medic in the HMRC is all but impossible.

"Trust me Bruce, if you try to go on a civilian killing spree, Milno can and will take you down without a second thought. And if it comes down to that, I'll help him do it."

Team A and B
((You deserved your rest.

@Medics: Have you checked if it is possible to get a dynamic bonus by spending one turn preparing to apply medical care to someone?))

[Team B Leader=Milno]

"Fine, wait a moment and I'll confirm it. Anyway, can you also talk to your people over in the police department building and convince them to lay down their weapons if clemency is extended to them? There are two more of our teams there, and they'll break into the police station pretty soon, and even if you don't have radios I could fly you there." he said, narrowing his eyes.

Milno then contacted the command through the comms.
"Hey, they are asking for clemency, absolution of their crimes in exchange for surrender. Should I just say 'yes' without minding if you actually concede it or not and drag them to the APCs? They have fucklots of guns and I doubt they'll allow the other team safe passage as well."

To teams C and D: "We may have found a shot at getting your side to surrender as well. You may want to put a hold on anything involving breaking in and killing them for some seconds or minutes until I confirm something with the guy who's surrendering here."

Talk to the man and ask command.

Actions in case of shit are still standing.

Spoiler: A-B Teams (click to show/hide)
"I can try and tell'em. Don't know if they'll listen. They may not recognize the threat you pose."

"Tell them whatever they need to hear." Is command's reply.

Taking a quick glance at his notes, Lars worked over toward Mesk and May.  He looks down at the convulsing May.

"O Emar-i, please guide May to a full recovery, aided by your servants Mesk and Kyle!  May your blessings fall on them all!"

Saying that, Lars grabs his black marker and inscribes the pupilless eye of Emar-i upon the medkits of those around.

Faith heal, inscribe equipment.

You doodle the symbol of Emar-i on all the medical equipment you can get your hands on.

"HEAL THEIR SHIT IN THE NAME OF THE DIVINE!"

Thomas turns at Mesk and glares at him. He didn't know how to fix May, but he knew that kicking her wasn't how.
"Mesk. Do not hurt May again."
He turns around toscan the area the man came from with heat detection and X-ray. Check back on May, see if there's something to restrain her with.
Better not be anymore of them.
Explain to the man why Bruce is acting that way:

"Nevermind him, he's special, if you catch my drift." Milno said, shrugging and nodding towards Bruce. "If nothing in the next level kills him, we may end up doing it ourselves to prevent him from screwing with the team. I'm sure you know the type."
"You do know I can Fucking hear you Milno, also if you want to shoot me, I suggest you do it now, instead of hiding behind fake bravado."
"Shut the fuck up. He's the leader, you aren't. He's experienced, you aren't. I've had enough shit for this day, and you aren't helping."
You can't see much from where you are, still in the hallway while the talking is taking place outside, past the doorway and through a courtyard, but you don't see any heat signatures.

You hold May still on your own as she twitches and writhes before suddenly going still.

Try to break the curse of medical incompetence. That is to say, actually treat May's wounds this time.

((Two 1's in a row for medical rolls, thankfully I have that +1 modifier. Now watch me roll a 6 and cauterize the wound with my MFM.))

"Trust me Bruce, if you try to go on a civilian killing spree, Milno can and will take you down without a second thought. And if it comes down to that, I'll help him do it."

You pick up the MFM and slink away, wondering why medics are always incompetent. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the universe doesn't seem to have many gray areas when it comes to competence.

Team C and D
Team D - Lukas - PD

Lukas tries to find a spot where he can get secure footing and still have a clear view of the fortified wall. If he succeeds, he starts charging his particle cannon.

You take a few steps back, like yourself up with the doors of the building before unfolding the armor on your chest and extending the particle cannon, letting it charge  up the rather insane amounts of power it requires to function.

Name:Flint - Team C - Entrance to the fortress of doom

If the wall to the window isn't easily climbable, use the chisel to form a ladder for my non-exosuit wearing comrades, help anyone who wants to get in and then get in myself.
The window is only a few feet off the ground on the first story so you climb your way through without difficulty. You appear to be in a holding cell of sorts, a large steel cage with benches.

Feyri Nirel ; Team C Mercenary

"Alright, I'm sick and tired of the silent treatment." Feyri said to Faith and Miya, repeating the broadcast to anyone in range.

She turned her gaze above her, glad that her faceplate was up for once and dropping her weapons at her feet.

State an ultimatum for peace.

"Hey, everyone in there! Look, we're only here to find out what is going on with whatever happened in here. We're not Deeper Scum or whatelse you've called us, OK? We only want a peaceful negotiation with whoever is competent and brave enough to converse with us.

"I mean, your boys right at the door had police badges, aye? So that means you people are the police,"
Feyri winked at the nearest sentient ally. "Yeah, we blew them up...but that was an accident, OK? They shot first, and I," she stated her name, "believe that we're all under an illusion of fear. We're not whoever killed your anyone, and we've seen the carnage the...Miners, I guess, caused up in the first surface levels. I guess that's Deeper Scum, for you?

"We won't hurt you if you won't hurt us, and we're willing to negotiate. I mean, why wage a battle when we can solve it by words?

"Also, I'm tragically pissed at how you're treating your guests. We will be forced to use...force in finding out whatever happened here if nobody is willing to talk, so you've got a few seconds until the big guy - not a Miner, or a psychotic killer - does whatever.

"I repeat, the people who are wearing the mining exoskeletons aren't miners. We just scavenged them off the dead above. We've also found people alive behind the doors your "For the Greater Good" signs were. So yeah, we've got survivors."

Spoiler: Team C and D (click to show/hide)

You continue to get no response, just silence.

((By 'first floor' I meant the first floor that isn't the ground floor. Oh well, guess I'll just roll with it.))

Okay then Bishop, you go from the top, we go from the bottom. Best not go up all the way though, if you get ambushed we might be too far away to come help.

Enter through window, scan room with normal, then heat vision. If anyone tries to fire a heavy weapon, shoot 'em with my gauss rifle. If someone fires at me with small arms, boost over to them, pick them up by their arms and use 'em as a shield.

To Milno over radio: 'We were just breaking into their compound, we'll try to wait and see what happens. But so far all they've done is shoot at us, then shoot us some more. We'll see what happens.'
You are too large to enter in through the window, as I said earlier. Even with the armored plates pulled open you've have to physically widen the window hole itself and those walls are pretty thick. You could do it, it would just take a while.

"Yep, Bishop, hoist me up."

Get hoisted wherever Bishop is putting me to. Laser rifle at the ready to fire.
You walk out to the area beneath the window and wait for Bishop to come and lift you up.

Stacy, Team C Physimancer, Next to Police Department.

"Radio signal's coming from deep down, seems like. I can say with some certainty that something still lives down there."

Stacy sighs mournfully.

"If only the miners below would have had the common decency to die like the ones above us. Now they're going to be shooting at us with mining lasers."

Wait outside the police department for now. Try to think how thick the rock layer would have to be to let a garbled radio transmission through. Consider how many floors below the transmission may have originated.
Hard to say. Depends on the density of the rock, if any of that signal is "leaking" up the elevator shaft and about a dozen other things. Chances are though, that it's coming from someone close, probably just one level below.

Feyri felt the urge to scratch her nose. It was itchy.

Quote from: Feyri Nirel = Command
A bit curious here, what was the name of this colony again?

Ask command of the name of this colony.

Another memory.

"You were told you were here to back us up. This is untrue. You are here to do a job and then we are here to clean up afterwards."

"The buildings you saw were the upper level of a colony. It is self sufficient and for the most part was self governing with very little UWM oversight. Approximately 3 months ago it's citizens began to fall ill. At time of last transmission 60% of the populace was dead and open riots had broken out. The government asked us for assistance. That was two weeks ago."

...yep, I fail forever. Illness seems to be the provoking force...but then, judging by the timespan...Two and a half months with riots - that means they were confident not to ask aid.

UMW- no that's UWM...Military. It took Two and a HALF MONTHS to ask for aid, with about sixty percent dead.

...Open rioting. 60% death. 2 and a half months for aid and asking.

Quote from: Feyri Nirel ; Broadcasting to all MK suits in range
Heeey everyone.

The Marine said he and his men would be following, so I'm guessing they're scouring the area above us. Our informant didn't tell of what equipment they'd be bringing.

Also, colony name?

Alsoalso, fungi do live in environments without oxygen, right?

"It isn't important." Is the only reply Command gives you.

"Right, let's do this!"

Give Sambo a lift and then pry the window open enough for me to squeeze inside. Use the cutter if I need to widen it more than it would bend.

You give Sambo a lift up to the interrogation room and then bend down and squeeze through yourself. The interrogation room itself is just a small room with one door, a table and a mirror, probably two way if all those cop shows you used to watch were right.

[Team B Leader=Milno]

"I just talked to command, you are good to go." he said. "You can call all of your boys and tell them to leave their weapons in piles as they leave the buildings. We'll escort you to the APCs."

Milno crouched atop the statue and nodded towards the doorway. "So, can you contact the people over the police building through radio or will I have to fly you there? I can do it without any problem...Oh, and the people over there have more raw firepower than we do."

Talk to the man, escort the blueshirts to the APCs if they leave the buildings. If there is the need to carry the big man to the PD for him to talk to them, then do it.

To Teams C, D, and Command:
"I got the people here to surrender. Their leader will try to convince the Blueshirts in your building to surrender as well, C and D."

Name:Flint/Deeper Scum - Team C - Dungeons of the fortress of Doom, 1st level

"Hey team, can anybody take point here? I'm afraid that if they see me in this mining exosuit they may start firing. Just need someone who can check around corners, move silently and negotiate if necessary. I would do it myself but I can't leave this suit unattended." The last part was mostly an excuse. Truth was Flint just did not want to risk his neck for those scum. Maybe someone else would.

If someone who's not a robot-exosuit-etc goes ahead try to follow them at a small distance as quietly as I can. If nobody takes point get out of the room and start exploring, while shouting that we are part of a rescue mission and that we come in peace.

No fucking respect, I'll prove myself to these fuckers.

"Excuse me? EXCUSE ME? WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?"
