'Knowing this, I agree engaging it would probably be the easiest route for us to take, but I also think we should be careful not to underestimate our foe. I mean, by the time we've surrounded the 'bot, it could have cut down several of us already.'

Examine the ways leading to the main doors. Is there a way to flank the guard? Or is the only way in through a straight hallway?

'Maybe we could distract it by throwing something, after which we attack. Or we could try to fry it from behind cover using an amp.'
The map is rather undetailed, showing nothing but a line. It looks like a straight hallway but there might be things in that hallway to provide cover. You're just not sure.

Before discussing any sort of flanking, Roger looks at the map to see if it is possible.
There aren't any sort of side tunnels that connect directly to the area, but there are some that connect near it. You can't tell if they'd be good for flanking or even whats in the hall though.

take a swig of scotch, and wonder how I got myself into this mess

You swallow a mouthful of scotch and feel a bit tipsy. You think about how you got here and think it might have something to do with stabbing homeless people.

Move along the main corridor carefully , Stop outside the room the guard is in.

"You may not want to go off on your own. It's kinda a maze out there if you don't know the way." Wolfe calls after you.
You stop and look back at the group.

"I suppose everyone is ready to go then?" Wolfe says, walking toward the door?

Bishop slapped the man with the scotch up the back of the head.

"Put that shit away. If you start drinking now, you'll just get shot quicker."

He turns to the rest of the group.

"Looks like the guard is the best bet for now. We'll have to see what the corridor looks like first and then we can come up with a plan for flanking and shit. Might want to use a side tunnel or something, catch it while it's in the open while it's patrolling."

Follow, making sure to have the guide stop us when we are about to enter the corridor.

"I'm ready, but didn't you say that this was, like, a maintenance or control room or something? Can't you control anything else from here, Mr. Techaeologist?"
Follow the group, should they leave.

"Sorry lad." Wolfe says, looking at Timmy, "If it were out there on the ocean I'm sure I could, but everything from here on is newer and far beyond my control."

The group moves off, activating their lamps as they enter dark and silent passages. Wolfe leads the way, marking every intersection the team passes with a bit of chalk, scribbling a "W" with a line through it. "So we can find our way back. Well, so you can."  The path is far from direct, following a series of halls, branching side paths and  even what seems to be a large vent at one point. Finally Wolfe holds his hand up for the party to stop and motions to a sharp turn up ahead.

"Around the corner is a doorway, one without a door, that opens into a very large hall, maybe 20 foot tall by 25 wide, and at the end of that hall is the door into the Snowglobe. And just in front of that is the guard."

Standing as close to the edge of the corner without actually going around it, try to listen if I can hear anything beyond the corridor. Specifically, watch out for anything resembling threads or wheels. Motion other people to be silent if they make to much noise for effective hearing.

'Hey guys, we may wanna keep the volume down, in case it has good audio sensors, or we could ruin our element of surprise.'

"Lemme try something. Magic hasn't failed me yet!"
Sit down, get into a meditative pose and use magic to mentally reach out to the guard turret. Try to disable it without hurting its internal components (pulling its gun away from it if I can't do anything else).
