((Strange, two words pronounced almost the same way but mean nearly opposite things. I did not know it was spelled that way. Thanks))

((That's the English language for you, man. The two are nearly homophones, there's just a slight pronunciation difference.))

((I don't know if the group is in the central building but I suppose not. And if we aren't then the obvious path is towards the center so more of us can die while trying to get a tuning fork or similar shinies out of our unfortunate adventure. :P))

((@GM: Are we on the central building?))

"There is a path down there, although I don't believe every able-bodied person should follow it. The sand may decide it is time to kill as quickly as the tone of this noise changes. Milno commented.
Well I shouldn't really tell you but think about this: There are only two directions where walkways are coming off of the building you're in and somewhere out beyond you there is something making lots of noise. And, if you had to guess it would look like this

                         ^
                         |
w                      |                         w
   a                noise                  a
      l                                       l
        k                                 k
          w                           w
             a                      a
                y                 y
                --------------
                |                |
                |                |
                |                |
                |                |
               ---------------

So what do you think?

((It's defer, not differ, in this situation, Orb.))

Milno, put me down.

Pester to be put back down.
Milno puts you down on the ramp and you do your best not to roll.

((Well now that's odd then. Either the citadels are channeling sand between them, which given the outside environment would seem to imply that the sand in here is moving around like water being sloshed in circles in a bowl, or my theory about the brother being knocked off the walkway by oncoming sand is completely wrong.

Leaning towards the latter.))

Maurice woked from his slumber, dazzled: What, we're already leaving this place? My, my.
As for the journal: I don't have any problems with this being the original ground level - well, given how they can manipulate the sandstone, raising the ground that high doesn't seem impossible. Well, given the physics of this place, it might have been done in order to submerge this place in sand and/or severely restrict the sound it could produce. As for 'servitor creators' and 'hordes' - those could be the Lighteaters (we all saw how it created itself a body out of sandstone), which might be supported by the Wyrm and the projected number of its inhabitants; given the fact the sound started rather recently, and was preceded by a wyrm-like sound, it might be that they are invading this place.
However, pretty much as likely, the Lighteater might be one of the defenders of this place - possibly the last, given the submerged in sand state of this complex - who has finally returned here with that long-sought tune staff of his.

So, I have to withdraw my earlier arguement for taking the staff and escaping this place in lieu of taking time to understand the agenda of the soundsource wielder, whoever he is. Well, unless he's deliberately destroying this place, of course.

Check if my leg wounds have closed.

Gorat sighs.
"Well, then, okay. Central building, if only for completeness's sake. Maybe there's something crutchlike on the way. As for the sand, as it seems that it moved away from the sound, at least some would then have moved to the graveyard and fall."

Follow. Think about the supposed architecture of the citadels and central building. Is there any comparable technology that could help in determining the function?

Start moving towards the central building via walking North.
You head out the door, follow the wall of the building around to the opposite side and start out into the dark, following the noise. Judging by the proximity to the sound You'd say you're about halfway there.

Welp, you don't feel like you're bleeding, but who fucking knows.

You follow after Milno while thinking about the citadel.

"Get moving into the center building. We don't need to loot anything, but if what is inside happens to be important, we can record it and consider our task here done."

If no one follows (or the person with the camera doesn't), then get back, fetch the camera and get back to moving towards the central building once again.

addendum: Help the cripples too.

Oh, okay.
Stand up. If my leg wounds don't open immediately after that (you know, blood pouring/dribbling and all), (slowly) follow Milno; otherwise, lean against the nearest wall (make sure not to press on the heat exchange coils) and give my legs some more rest.
Drink water (via the food tube, if possible).

I'll wait here, unless someone gets me. I could make it on my own, but it would be much slower than ya'll and quite possibly damage me more.

And no, Maurice, don't even think about getting me. Your legs will thank you.

((Well, Milno can walk, so the former would be Faith dragging Milno after Milno. ;) But dragging either is probably counterproductive anyway - either it's too many to drag, or it makes things worse for the dragged people.))

((Can. I want to prevent the group from straggling more than necessary, not forcibly haul Simus.))

((I thought "who isn't already following" was sort of implied. Though technically I guess Milno isn't following himself anyway, but nevermind the details!))
