Thank god you can hear me. As well, I'm not going anywhere but towards where I fell from, so I should be headed back to the tower, if I have enough strength in my remaining, non-mangled limbs to pull myself along... That is, arms only, my legs are likely busted beyond repair. Might have to take them off and leave them behind, at least it'll make it easier on me by reducing my mass, and I was going to have them replaced anyways.

Don't push yourself, Simulacrus. Just lie down (preferably not on your back; the heat exchange system is one hell of a thing to repair, and is very dangerous if damaged), make a bubble of light with a lightstick or something (if you haven't yet) and wait for me to bring you back. I can detach the damaged prosthetics later, if you want, so don't worry about those and try to rest.

You crawl forward with one arm, your suit scraping quietly against the stone as you inch forward. Eventually a rather frantic looking Maurice jogs into your light, nearly tripping over you. You wave weakly.

"Well... I guess we could just wait for the sand to leave..."

Try to estimate, based on the speed of the sand, how big an exit it's being pulled through, whether there's a consistent direction or several exits, and if it's moving in any kind of pattern, like water swirling down a drain.

From what you can see, which isn't terribly a lot, it looks like the sand is all pouring out through an opening near your ramp. Their is an obvious flow pattern, slight slopping and indention in the surface to indicate direction. As you watch the sand lowers enough that you can see the top of the doorway it's flowing through.

Thank goodness! Yes, I can hear you clearly, Simulacrus. I'll be there in a minute.

Team, I've got Simulacrus back on the radio; it looks like she's been beyond the comms working distance, and so will be I until we're back. In case of emergency, I'll use the rope to send the signals - unless you are okay with me abandoning it should its length be insufficient.
Go further in that direction, look for Simus.

You jog out into the dark until you suddenly stumble into Simus' own bubble of light, nearly tripping over her in the process. She waves.

So exactly how bad are my legs, Doc, think they're salvageable for this mission, or should we get rid of them? I didn't really try for an in-depth look, being dragged away by the sand made me more interested in getting back.

Yeah, glad here too. You'll want to be mainly looking at my cybernetic arm and legs, the legs took most of the damage and something's screwed up in the arm, I'm not getting any feeling from it, but it still works, for the most part. Rest of me, I've no idea.
