"Hm... so, I guess the question is whether we want to keep following the beginning of the trail or the end. If there's a grappling hook here, it makes sense that he came from down there, or at least visited it before falling. I suppose that's not guaranteed, though.
In any case, I think I'd agree with going to the bottom and, well, confirming it."
Start heading down the ramp to the very bottom. Drag Charro along and make sure to explore the rooms along the way.
You start back down the ramp, making sure to poke your head into the rooms you pass along the way. You don't see anything particularly interesting on the way down and your search insures a slow pace, but at least you're not missing anything.
As you continue down you begin to hear the sound of rushing sand again, but something strikes you as odd. You've reached the walkway that you and the rest of the group entered on, but the sound seems significantly lower. You continue on, judging the distance as best you can, and something becomes immediately obvious: Ground level here is lower then what it was outside. So either the interior of this building extends into the ground, or the sand is receding.
Follow Faith and Charro. Farther away from the edge this time. Keep an eye out for something that could be used as a crutch along the way.
You follow along behind Faith, looking for something to use as a crutch. You don't find anything.
Follow Faith and Charro while dragging Chin along.
You follow Faith while helping chin limp along.
Follow Milno and Gorat. Be cautious and inquisitive of the rooms we pass.
You follow the rest of the group glancing into rooms as you pass them. You don't see anything else of value or interest, just a lot of very similar rooms.
"Maybe, maybe not. I'll get right on that"
Travis checks the slack on Rope 3. If sufficient, he pulls it into the opening in the walkway, and then climbs down.
The rope still has plenty of slack so you gather it back up and dump it into the walkway before hopping down yourself. The drop into the walkway is only about 8 feet, but you feel a bit better knowing you have the rope if you need it. You land in the walkway quite easily, unharmed and unbothered.
