Travis let out a gasp of breath

"I...uh, right. Found another Citadel like this one. Only thing missing was the rope.

...if that thing out there is another light eater, what are we going to do? Most of our weapons can't harm it, and we're trespassing on its territory"

Tactical retreat, you say?.. How do you think, how much time would it take to get safely to that elevated position? Hint: about five people are to be hauled.
I believe that up there we have a better chance. All in all, it would take seconds to descend, and even such cripples as I would hopefully be able to slide down the rope, if it comes to that.

And actually, I think it is a smaller Wyrm coming from below, carrying the Lighteater inhabitant of this place. You know, personal-ish means of transport (compared to that lumbering behemoth we encountered before, at least).

Heh, I'm fairly sure that this isn't Hades, Maurice.

Anyways, I think I might be good enough to not be an invalid, if we need to move. Might need a shoulder, though.

Attempt to stand.

Give a shoulder to Simus. Observe the surroundings.

"If the ammo I got is as good as I think, we may have a chance to take down one of these things with a mid or long range shot, or at least make it retreat. But it would just be easier if the situation didn't escalate that much." Milno says, a mischievous smile dancing on his lips.

If he wasn't killed outright, the chance to test the new ammo could be getting closer.

"It may be something coming to check on our intrusion or just coincidence. Hope for a coincidence."

"Come on, come on," Faith said listlessly, looking out at the direction of the noise.

Activate suit lamps, attempt to use to locate stone grue.
You activate your lamps and swing them around randomly, trying to see something out in the darkness. You can't see anything beyond an expanse of white sand.

"I think you should stay near the wall. We don't have any idea of where this thing is coming from or where it is heading to. If it is coming my way, then bringing you up would be a terrible idea."

Stay sharp, try to think and analyze where the sound is coming from and where it is heading to.

Anyway, move a little towards the place Travis went to before unless it happens to be the dangerous direction.

You close your eyes and try to figure out where the sound is coming from. [int:6]

The call sound is coming from inside the building!

You walk down the walkway a bit, far enough that you can't see the ropelight simus hung, instead relying on your own ropelight wrapped around your body.

Not-good-not-good-not-good. Terrible tactical position

"Everyone, get your backs to the wall and pull your weapons out! We'll make a tactical retreat into the Citadel as soon as I make sure it's safe, assuming Milno gives the go ahead.

Travis jogs into the Citadel and heads up the ramp that's presumably there.
You run into the building the rest of your team is gathered around and up the ramp inside it until you reach the first room. It looks very much like the rooms in the tower, though larger.

Heh, I'm fairly sure that this isn't Hades, Maurice.

Anyways, I think I might be good enough to not be an invalid, if we need to move. Might need a shoulder, though.

Attempt to stand.
You push yourself up against the wall, steadying yourself as you get used to standing. You feel dizzy and lightheaded but you think you can walk or run if you really need to.

Give a shoulder to Simus. Observe the surroundings.
You help simus off the wall and let her put a good deal of her considerable weight-metal limbs and all- on you. You look around, trying to see something, anything that might tell you whats going on. You don't see anything.

The tremors have become a constant shaking closing every second, the sound of scraping stone and thousand fold razor sharp legs puncturing sand and rock with a hiss blot out everything else. Finally, as it becomes unbearably loud and almost impossible to stand, the sound seems to condense and it becomes clear the direction it's coming from. It's coming from a distance beyond the building the team is clustered around, in the direction that the path would have gone if not blocked by the building everyone is clustered around.

The world seems to shake violently as though the unseen beast as struck something with great force and then the shaking slowly fades.

"You should clear a little away from the path. So, any volunteers for being hauled? I got a rope and one of you can be tied to it and hauled up."

"Hey loner, come here to assist in this."

If nothing strange happens, lower on of the tips of the climbing rope taken from Simus and let someone be tied before pulling them up.

Well, seems we were spared their attention. Sort of.

First and foremost, we need to get a medic up there. Now, May, are you going to climb? So, unless you decide otherwise, I suggest hauling up Faith.

Unless May wants to be hauled intead of climbing to the walkway herself (and Milno doesn't object to that), carefully tie the rope around Faith and prepare her to transportation.

"Heads-up, I don't take responsability for broken bones, lost limbs and/or good old failure in the endeavor of being hauled up." Milno quipped as he moved to prepare the rope.

Get hauled up into the building. Remember what team has discovered in each direction on walkway.

"Hey loner, come here to assist in this."

If nothing strange happens, lower on of the tips of the climbing rope taken from Simus and let someone be tied before pulling them up.

You wait for a few seconds, holding your breath, waiting for the sudden noise and directionless pain that you fear might be coming. Several seconds later you breathe out and lower your rope down after bracing yourself against the wall. Time to play human elevator.

You help Faith tie the rope around herself and then signal to Milno to pull her up.

((Does the ramp continue to go up or end at the room?))

"Roger that"

Travis assists Milno in pulling team mates up onto the walkway
(the ramp continues up into the darkness as far as you can see.)

You run back to milno and brace yourself before taking part of the rope as well.

Help Maurice.
He doesn't seem to need any help, but you follow along beside him, just in case.

Haul Faith and self up.
Faith is tied to the rope and being hauled up already, so you decide to climb the other rope.
[str:5]
You shimmy up the rope easily enough but the all important leap to the walkway still remains.

Get hauled up into the building. Remember what team has discovered in each direction on walkway.
(There's a building in either direction that both look identical  from what they've seen. They seem to have the same ramp and room design as the tower.)

Milno and Travis easily haul you up onto the walk way and dump you off to the side before lowering the rope again.
