"Come on, come on," Faith said listlessly, looking out at the direction of the noise.
Activate suit lamps, attempt to use to locate stone grue.
You activate your lamps and swing them around randomly, trying to see something out in the darkness. You can't see anything beyond an expanse of white sand.
"I think you should stay near the wall. We don't have any idea of where this thing is coming from or where it is heading to. If it is coming my way, then bringing you up would be a terrible idea."
Stay sharp, try to think and analyze where the sound is coming from and where it is heading to.
Anyway, move a little towards the place Travis went to before unless it happens to be the dangerous direction.
You close your eyes and try to figure out where the sound is coming from. [int:6]
The
call sound is coming from inside the building!
You walk down the walkway a bit, far enough that you can't see the ropelight simus hung, instead relying on your own ropelight wrapped around your body.
Not-good-not-good-not-good. Terrible tactical position
"Everyone, get your backs to the wall and pull your weapons out! We'll make a tactical retreat into the Citadel as soon as I make sure it's safe, assuming Milno gives the go ahead.
Travis jogs into the Citadel and heads up the ramp that's presumably there.
You run into the building the rest of your team is gathered around and up the ramp inside it until you reach the first room. It looks very much like the rooms in the tower, though larger.
Heh, I'm fairly sure that this isn't Hades, Maurice.
Anyways, I think I might be good enough to not be an invalid, if we need to move. Might need a shoulder, though.
Attempt to stand.
You push yourself up against the wall, steadying yourself as you get used to standing. You feel dizzy and lightheaded but you think you can walk or run if you really need to.
Give a shoulder to Simus. Observe the surroundings.
You help simus off the wall and let her put a good deal of her considerable weight-metal limbs and all- on you. You look around, trying to see something, anything that might tell you whats going on. You don't see anything.
The tremors have become a constant shaking closing every second, the sound of scraping stone and thousand fold razor sharp legs puncturing sand and rock with a hiss blot out everything else. Finally, as it becomes unbearably loud and almost impossible to stand, the sound seems to condense and it becomes clear the direction it's coming from. It's coming from a distance beyond the building the team is clustered around, in the direction that the path would have gone if not blocked by the building everyone is clustered around.
The world seems to shake violently as though the unseen beast as struck something with great force and then the shaking slowly fades.
