"Alright. I'm going to do some preliminary scouting while you all climb up"
Travis cracks a glow stick, his faceplate tinted blue by the light, and walks along the walkway in the direction away from the wall.
You hold the glow stick out in front of you as you walk, being careful not to fall out any of the holes on either side. The walkway stretches on for quite a while, to the point that you're beginning to get nervous about being so far from the rest of the group. You're just about to turn around when the walkway ends. It looks like it attaches to another slightly curved wall; another building no doubt. You step a little closer to the entrance and hold the light higher. It looks like the walkway continues in through the wall, which by the look of it is over 2 meters thick. Beyond that, you can't see anything.
Get someone's climbing rope, wrap around shoulder and climb the rope Travis left to the walkway. Replace any lost pitons on the wall and try to get on the walkway afterwards.
"I'm going there, loner. Be careful, just in case."
You steal Simus' rope -she's not gonna need it- and climb up the rope that Travis just hung. Your exoskeleton provides more then enough strength to climb it without even using your legs. [dex:4+1] You step onto the walkway from the rope and look around. Travis has already vanished into the dark.
Compare the tremble I felt with the ones left by the Wyrm and with the ones connected to sandstone shapeshifting and think about the results of that comparison.
Did everyone feel that? ...Also, please, be careful, lest another tremor affect your ascent.
It feels a lot more like the tremors caused by the worm then anything else. The only difference you can think of between the tremors caused by the ground changing and the Wyrm is the magnitude.
"A slight tremor, you mean? Yes, I did."
Crack a glowstick, look around near the dark areas.
You crack a glowstick and walk around a bit, staying near enough to the light to keep connected but only just. You don't see anything.
The ground shakes again, harder and closer this time. You still can't hear anything.
