So many dead... I suppose they didn't really have any will left, but still, it's just...

Agh, what did the killer mean? It seems like he was more intent on sending a message than actually trying to kill me, at least with those civillians.

"Thanks Jim, Maurice, I appreciate the help. Let's get inside.

Steve, do these coordinates mean anything to you? 17.3 degrees, 18th radian. The assassin mentioned a coming darkness of some sort, I think it's supposedly tied to that location."

Head into the nearest house that is not on fire, but with the door open/broken.

[group channel] Damnation. Kyle, are you sure they cannot be saved? At least some of them?
Coming?.. Coordinates?.. I was right. All of this - all of these killings, all of this mayhem - was perpetrated for the sake of delivering a message. That and maybe this former agent does believe that killing these people equals showing them mercy. In that case, hard times are indeed coming.
[public channel] Steve, what was the last report from the agent? And how well was it received? Okay, we probably don't have the clearance, but can you at least say if there was some kind of conflict with his superiors before he went rogue, one most likely resulting in him being reined in, or if his career record prior to this incident was rather clean and devoid of insubordination?
Follow Kyle.

(( Madman. Cryptic message. Foretelling doom.
There is absolutely no way he could be right.   :P
Well, yes, I'd say something very, very bad is coming. And we are probably going to be shoved into its way, if only to see what it is capable of.

Also, I will probably be offline for half a week starting with tomorrow, so could someone take over my character for that time? ))

"I don't see how, Maurice. There's nothing we could do for them in any case without equipment, and considering that the assassin can basically overwrite their minds at will, the best we could do for them is to incapacitate them without killing them. Perhaps a brain surgeon with proper equipment could do something, or someone helpful with a similar amp of their own could reverse the effects, but I'm afraid we can't really do much.

Follow Kyle and look for shelter with the group. Try to figure out what the coordinates given by the assassin mean.

(So what's all your kill counts for this mission?  I'm starting to lag behind with just two.)

[group channel] No, I mean - to treat the injuries they got from being thrown into the air. Or, well, in your opinion, aren't those quite serious, but possibly not outright lethal?

((I would suggest using the kinetic amp to give them a gentle landing first, instead of hitting the ground as if you jumped out of a plane without a parachute))

"Judging by the fact that they've already been torn into multiple pieces and still have yet to hit the ground... I'm afraid that they're probably all dead. I suppose the HMRC could possibly salvage something from them, but haven't these people already suffered enough?"

((And I think you completely misunderstand what a kinetic amp does.))

"I've still yet to get used to this amp," Jim explained. "In any case, we need to move fast. I'm searching House 17." He followed action to suit and headed over there to punch the door down.

[group channel] I have these three cans of medi-foam - and some of them might have survived the throw and the landing.  . . .  Alternatively - Steve, do you have enough ambulance units (or at least stasis pods) nearby? And - are they going to stitch together the civilians that survive this hell, and possibly provide with prosthetics? Are they going to restart the brains that can be salvaged?

(( Turns out having two medics in a squad is actually a good idea - at the very least, they can consult with each other  :) ))

[exotic:4+1+1]
You jog toward Kyle while carefully targeting each person around him and eyeballing the force needed to pick them up and fling them away. Once you've got it all set up in your head, you swing your hand up dramatically and shout "Civilians, AWAY!" The people around Kyle do indeed move. However it's not exactly the relatively gentle toss you were going for. More a "Shoved a rocket engine up their butt and fired them into the lower stratosphere" kinda thing. They vanish off the ground in a puff of dust and crunching noises, rupturing and tearing apart from the sudden g-forces as they streak off like bloody fireworks, straight up into the sky.

"Hey uh...you guys might want to take cover or something. I think it's about to start raining men. Or at least parts of them."

((Jim is a bit scary. He doesn't seem to be particularly evil but he has these sudden bursts of extreme violence. What's Jim's kill count by now?))

(More than everyone else across all missions combined. :3 And Jim isn't evil, he's... practical, I would call it. Some would prefer ruthless or heartless, but as the man said, 'this is war. Survival is YOUR responsibility.' It's all semantics anyway. :D)
