Jim checked his map. "Let's see what floor the generator room is on before we advance any further."
It's on the third floor. Check the mission briefing, it as all the maps and the rooms are labeled.

"Let's hit the lights first. I don't want to be stumbling around in the dark if we get attacked. But... at least we confirmed we're not alone down here. Stay alert." Jim lead the way down to the third floor, where he attempted to melt the door again.

"Let's hit the lights first. I don't want to be stumbling around in the dark if we get attacked. But... at least we confirmed we're not alone down here. Stay alert." Jim lead the way down to the third floor, where he attempted to melt the door again.
You back out of the second floor and back into the shaft, scooting along the ledge before grabbing the ladder and heading down. The third story is much deeper then the  second, maybe 50 feet down, and the elevator is jammed just below the door. [Exotic:2+1+1] You concentrate and burn another hole, this one smaller then the last, only big enough to stoop and half crawl through.

Follow Jim, send the ScoutEye through once the door's open.
You follow Jim down the ladder and hook your arm on one of the rungs, waiting for him to finish melting his way through the door. After he's done you pull out your scouteye and begin setting it up. [aux:2+1] You attempt to send it through the freshly melted hole and end up clipping the edge as you fly through. The scout eye spins off into the dark and lands somewhere. The feed shows nothing but darkness except for the light from jim's head lamp occasionally sweeping around.

Jim proceeded through the hole and began looking around. "Looks clear. Let's get to the generator room ASAP."

Follow Jim through if he doesn't get attacked, pick up my ScoutEye and check it for damage, and send it to the generator room again.

You step out onto the third floor and look around. Everything is very much the same as the second floor, same white everything, same crossroads. You get the feeling that this base was probably built using some sort of modular design. You check around, keeping your motion tracker turned up to high, but don't find anything.

Follow Jim through if he doesn't get attacked, pick up my ScoutEye and check it for damage, and send it to the generator room again.
You head out after Jim and look around till you find the scout eye. It looks dented, but still functional.

Jim heads north, to the generator room.

You head north and through the doors behind the elevator, into the generator room. A few sweeps of your head lamps gives you a good idea of what the room is like: the generator itself is a massive but rather innocuous looking metal box with a plethora of heavy cables connected to either end. There is a control panel near it, a big one studded with monitors and all manner of very important looking gauges and buttons. You're about to turn around and leave to grab Bishop when one of the monitors flickers on for just an instant. You can't be sure, but you thought you saw a face on the screen.

Since he didn't know how to repair the generator, Jim looked at the monitor more closely.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Maybe it's a visual version of what hit Steve.

You stare at the monitor for several seconds, waiting for whatever you saw to come back, but nothing happens. Weird.

((Or maybe that was the last survivor... but this rises the topic of how and why would he or she live in absolute darkness (or... did that person shut the generator down just before you arrived, so that it looked this scary and gloomy and in reality its just that the scientists here revolted against the Magisters and chose to live in peace the next several years before some HMRC ship arrives to investigate their whereabouts..?)
Also, yes, reviving dead or possessing the bodies seems pretty possible.
Oh, but if you saw someone's face that person probably wasn't wearing a suit... now all you need is wait while the air that was still in the complex would all go away through the hole you blasted, and, if they can't breath vacuum (or don't need to breath, yes), they're dead, and you can go and get it all without any resistance. It rises the problem of you getting additional oxygen for the suit probably holds enough only for about four hours (the average maximum mission length). Perhaps Steve can launch you a couple of oxygen tanks, or something... hmmm, but there can't be any survivors or captives that way. Unlikely, but those are still possible.
Also, hmmm, how do you think, people, how much would a living alien/alien-posessed/inhumanely altered thing would be worth in tokens? M-mmm...))
