Jim looked up at Bruce. "Feyri? She's... a woman I care for, very much. Social conventions dictate that it should be awkward to be looting a jewelry store in the middle of what is, for all intents a purposes, a cemetery... but more practically speaking, I can't just go out and buy her flowers once we get back. We don't have that kind of luxury aboard the 'Sword. So, I thought I would ask Faith here what Fey might like." He was working under the assumption Feyri and Faith were friends, or at the very least, they were both women so Faith might have similar tastes in jewelry to Feyri.

Bruce suggested a wedding ring, and Jim's emoticon changed to o.O;. "...I'm not sure that's a good idea. For one thing, she insists she's not my girlfriend whenever someone brings up the idea. And I don't want to just spring something that major on her. I was thinking more of a simple gift, to show that I care and like her without being too forward. That sort of thing. What do you think about..." Jim paused to dig through the display cases. "This silver ring with the amethyst?"

(All of this is just local, in-the-same-room talk, btw. Probably obvious but I thought I should specify. :P)

Jim, noticing that Faith had entered the jewelry as well as the fact no one was paying attention to him, followed her in. It was quite evident she was casing the joint, so he sidled over and tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention. "Hey. What do you think Feyri would like?" he asked as he looked over the display cases.

Jim also enters the jewelry store with intent to loot, takes whatever Faith recommends him to, then heads back to his team.
"Ooh, that's a tough one," Faith answered, glancing at Jim and then back at the options. "Do you happen to know her favorite colors? Even just whether she'd prefer warm or cold could be helpful, like gold/ruby or silver/sapphire. Or mixed, of course," she added, holding up an example she was considering.

"As for the style, that's kind of a tossup also." She took a moment to glance over Jim. "I tend to like rings; they're more compact, and you can fit more of them on your hand if you're feeling gaudy. I've heard some people say amulets feel more protective, though- people will fiddle with any jewelry they've got on, but some people say grabbing a necklace is a more protective gesture than twisting a ring. Can't say if that'd be a good or bad thing, but if you wanted to go that way it's an option."

Faith took a moment to examine the ring Jim had picked out.

"Yeah, that could work. Silver and amethyst strikes me as fairly gift-y, which I guess is what you're going for if you don't want to be too overt. Not that Feyri necessarily has the same tastes as I do, mind you; I'm afraid I've never really asked about her tastes in colors or jewelry."

To Feyri: "You are indeed quite suspicious, ma'am, some would even say paranoid. But that has never been a bad quality in a person. Your suspicions and paranoia bla bla bla and bla bla your fears are in fact entirely justified. There may be a conspiracy bla bla blargh... uh... different people rampaging about on the lower levels and bla bla bla bla you, on the other hand, you will remain watchful. bla bla bla bla. However, bla bla the warnings of the chronically anxious would be absolute folly. So don't be ashamed. Voice your concerns. You might just be on the right track."

Well...[EXPRESSIVE] you.

"-This silver ring with the amethyst?"

O_O

Oh goodness. Is he- Ok, probably not. Jewelry store? Hmm. Jim do you realize our views are still hooked up? Oh right, he can't hear me-

Hah! Much better..."Hey Jim I-"
*Faith doing stuff and gesturing with the ring in one hand like a connoisseur with a remarkable find...*

"-just wanted to say Hi and that we're all doing well here and stay safe OK?"

Ok. I didn't see that. Where was the switch for mutual video feeds?!

"Anyway, I'd just like to ask...Err..how feasible is sealing people in a room anyway? From dangers outside with the entrance door welded shut? Just thinking out loud here..."

Team A
Jim, noticing that Faith had entered the jewelry as well as the fact no one was paying attention to him, followed her in.

You walk into the store just as Faith finishes her "shopping spree" and ask her about a ring that a girl like Feyri would like.

"A girl like feyri?" Faith repeats before turning, brushing some  glass away on the smashed counter tops and fishing out a ring.

"Here ya go." She says, handing it to you and walking away without another word. It's a platinum ring with a yellow green square cut emerald. Huh, it does make you think of Feyri somehow.

You return to your group with the ring hidden in your giant hand.

See how much ammunition remains in the pistol.
There are 10 rounds left out of, judging by the empty space, 13-14 rounds.

Bruce followed into the jewlery shop, hearing Jims question he asked Who she was, and then when being told about the girlfriend thing he shall suggest "A wedding ring."
Lollygag!
You skip about the room, singing tiny tim songs while curtsying to the corpses and doing cartwheels.

[Team A Medic - Mesk]

Examine plague corpses.

[Med:2+2]
It's hard to tell, what with the decomp, but this disease seems almost unnaturally clean in the way it targets a single organ and so efficiently destroys it. Their lungs seem to simply have liquified while the rest of their body remained completely intact.

Team B

[Team B Leader=Milno=Entertainment District]

"These were probably their own who got struck by the plague." Milno affirms, standing up and stretching before turning his head to the people near him. "I don't think there's much to see here, so let's sweep the rest of the entertainment district and wrap things up."

Regroup, search the rest of the entertainment district to get things done.

Spoiler: A-B Teams (click to show/hide)

Team B, or more accurately milno and his tag-alongs, Move to the southern lane and search through it. There are a few more bodies, a smashed and raided gun store, as well as what could only be described as a community dump: an enormous pile of refuse tucked in one corner of the lane, but nothing alive and nothing threatening. Just the same remnants of former inhabitants like before.

Team C
'Ok guys, it seems we could use this elevator if we wanted, but since I'm not sure which button does what, I'm going to stay off of it. Wouldn't want to accidently carry us up only to die by radiation poisoning. I say we go help sweep the entertainment district, or head to the main elevator and wait for the others there if they're almost finished.'

If there is still an  area unexplored in the entertainment district, go there and sweep it. If not, go to main elevator and wait for the others.

While going to the entertaiment district, Miyamoto passes by Feyri first.
'Hey, Feyri, I know you really want to find out what happened here, but we've only searched two levels yet. I really feel that we'll need to go deeper to find out what happened here. And besides, these people are long gone already, so let's focus on saving the ones that aren't dead yet, ok?'

You decide to head to leave the storage room, walk all the way to the Entertainment district and tag along with Mino and Co. as they sweep the south lane of the entertainment district.

Stacy, Team C Physimancer, Storage Elevator.

"Hm, I have an idea! Maybe there's a service ladder in the elevator shaft? We could use that."

Check the ceiling of the elevator for any potential openings. If there are any, look up through them and look for anything suspicious, like damage to the shaft, or useful, like a service ladder. If there isn't an opening, step out of the elevator and melt-cut a Standard Entrance Hole in its ceiling after making sure nobody is inside.

There is an opening, or at least it looks like there could be. There is a closed metal iris blocking the way and several small, blinking red lights set into the wall under the iris.

Riots. Starvation - people welding in their own friends/neighbors/family or close associated species 'For the Greater Good'...

Either I'm suspecting this colony has a science lab located deep within this place that did mutants/mutations, or stuff. Because judging by these marks - including the ones on the containers and ship above, it seems we're dealing with people of a mutagenic trait.

Or I'm just rambling again. Whatever.

Did I just press that to BROADCAST?! NO!

Quote from: Feyri Nirel ; Broadcasting
That wasn't a broadcast, was it? =/

The rest of my team is finding a way down the storage elevator. I'll be with them if anyone calls.

Put hearing piece to metal floor. Try to discern any sounds below.

Spoiler: Team C (click to show/hide)

You press your helmet against the ground and listen. You can hear a vague sort of mechanical hum, but nothing else.

Name:Flint - Team C - Storage elevator

Try to vibrate as fast as I can and run through a wall screaming "I AM FLASH!!1". Continue waiting for the team leader to do something.

((Current level: Map and Objectives))
((Mission: Briefing and Objectives))

[You are not the flash roll:0]
You jerk about randomly, failing to phase through things.

Team D

Team D Leader Faith, Looting Entertainment District

Faith let out a happy squee at all the jewelry just lying about. She was momentarily sobered by the reminder that its former owners were all dead, but only momentarily.

The hardest part, of course, was choosing what to take. She wouldn't have objected to just hauling out a giant sack full of everything, but it wasn't like she could sell it- anything she took was basically just going to be a useless if very shiny bauble to wear. She probably wouldn't even be able to wear any of it on missions, and probably wouldn't want to risk it even if she could.

Still, it was hard to say no to a well-made ring carrying a well-cut stone, and she could be forgiven for being a little greedy...

Pick out some fine jewelry. Start with trying to find a gold ring with a large, probably squarish sapphire on it, then one for emerald and ruby, as well as looking for a nice necklace or two; possibly something fairly glittery and large, but something nice-looking but subtler could work too. Then branch out a bit, getting a few pieces that are just too good to leave, and maybe getting unusually nice representatives from other metals or gemstones, especially in ring form.

Once that's done, get back to the elevator with everyone else.

[will:1]
You smash the glass counter top with your new mechanically aided arm and begin sweeping armfuls of jewelry into your bag, loading yourself up with practically the entire stock of the store. You pick a ring out of the wreckage an hand it to jim before heading to the elevator.
Team D, Jobasio/Jack

"Erm, Team Leader? I highly doubt it's a good idea for us to be splitting up all over the place."
Jobasio frowned uncertainly as he noticed Faith wandering off, then followed quickly after her, keeping a wary eye out for movement, even in these areas they'd already swept.
'Is she looking for valuables? Really? I'm amazed she can even think of material gain at a time like this, with what we're seeing.' He still felt mildly sickened from the sight of so many mutilated corpses, though he kept it hidden. 'I'll have to get used to it sooner or later, especially if things get worse further on...'

>Follow our glorious leader and lootlootloot escort her over to the elevator we're supposed to take.

>Keep an eye out for any potentially hostile movement, of course.

((Can someone link me to the latest map? Although we'll be changing levels soon, anyway.))
You follow along with Faith as she loots a big o' bag of jewelry and then heads back to the main elevator. Since when were you the body guard of shop lifters?

Bishop sighed and straightened upright from looking under a desk, placing his hands on his hips.

"Well, I think we're done here. Looks like theres noone left here that's alive. The poor stupid bastards probably killed each other or starved to death rather than work and repair the fields for producing more food, even if the machines do still work.

Alright everyone, let's head over to the elevator and head down. No point in sticking around..."

Start herding everyone to the elevator after confirming with control that the level has been cleared. If it hasn't been cleared, then ask where we need to check and go there myself.
"This level has been swept adequately. Proceed to the elevator for the next."

You shrug and proceed to fly about, wrangling the wandering aspects of your team and leading them back out to the main elevator to join up with their brave shoplifter leader.

Stacy, Team C Physimancer, Storage Elevator.

"Hey, Flint, keep me covered here, just in case I accidentally make the elevator fall down."

Examine red lights, ponder their significance. See if there's any way I can open the iris, possibly by manipulating the red lights. If that fails, just say nuts to that and go to the elevator. Be ready to leap out in case the elevator starts falling.

Get ready to catch Stacy if the elevator falls (or if any other bad thing happens) and then "accidentally" drop him.

(Seems to me the plague is UWM-created, by the fact that it seems to be engineered and they don't want us looking to closely at it.  Probably has something to do with the data chip Simus got - maybe the UWM wanted the colony destroyed and emptied, so they could send their soldiers in to look for it unimpeded.  Mesk can't say this out loud without being shocked, of course.)

Team D Leader Faith, Elevator

"Well, ready when everyone else is," Faith said, sounding unusually cheerful. Not even Mesk's talk of ominous corpses could bring her down from her good mood. She'd worry about that later.

Hum a happy tune.
