"Steve! We're all pretty beat up and done with this place, but with a sturdy container the size of a cooler and three fairly large directional lights I think we could capture you some live shades. Interested?"
Faith then flipped up her faceplate to talk to Conrad.
"Yeah, you could say that. Uh, there's actually a lot of stuff that happened, that I think you should know about. This wasn't just falling on trees or whatever. Some of it was," she said, holding up her hand with the missing finger.
"First of all, we found your brother's corpse. Sorry. He apparently fell off a place in the Citadel, not sure how. We also found his journal though, and we've copied all the information in it so you can have it. It's... interesting. No sign of your other brother, though."
Handing him the journal, Faith continued.
"Secondly, turns out we woke up more Lighteaters. One infested one of our member- you probably saw us bringing his corpse back here- but abandoned him and made a new body out of stone when damaged. They look like puddles of ink when, er, dormant, so if you see anything like that don't touch it. Anyway there's a lot of noise in the Citadel now, which we think might be related, and part of it's guarded by a Wyrm, and the Lighteater we saw had a tuning fork staff thing that manipulated stone. So, it might be a lot more dangerous in there now, sorry. We also cut up the path a bit, well, kind of a lot, so there's some dark stretches there now. Sorry again.
Oh and the part beneath the Fall is now bereft of sand for some reason so the elevator no longer touches ground. No idea if it's going somewhere or coming back or what, but again, presumably due to the noise and Lighteaters. If that noise was always there then what killed your other brother might have essentially been the tide.
In more cheerful news, we found out that the things in those pits aren't actually hostile, just dangerous, they seemed to not know what we were but of course they're sharp insectthings, so they cut us up just from coming out to see what was up, and the Wyrm is apparently a stone and... whatever everything else is centipede-like house-thing that the Lighteaters can apparently ride and control. So, I dunno why one was following you, but I'd assume it'd less likely now that it's got its masters back. Unless that was something completely different but similar, like a cow to a riding horse.
So, that's the situation in the dimension now. Sorry for making such a mess of things, and I hope either the Lighteaters aren't hostile and/or you were done going in there anyway."
