"Safety looks good....I have an idea. A safer one than this flailing about.

Hurry up May. Either fall down or swing onto the walkway. I don't need you falling on me while I work"

While waiting for the rope to clear up, Travis glances at the walkway. Which angle did it head away from the wall? Does it go right over the path?

"Milno, I was thinking. The local residents could have smoothed the walls and removed any evidence of climbing tool usage, which I have no doubt is within their power, if the tale of The Tower incident is true"

"Oh, great. We're beating this mission single-handedly, it seems." Gorat rolls his eyes behind his faceplate.

Think about the peculiarities of the anomaly, the likelihood that a random path would lead to this citadel through such a neat path, and how this all fits together.

((Ahhhh, the ol' speech roll... Piecewise be trolling.))
I swear, I use random.org for my dice. I think it has a sense of humor.

"Ahaha! Ahahahah!" Charro finally regained his composure, sheepishly attempting to wipe away the tears of laughter through his faceplate. "Ahem. Forgive me. But really, your own hand?! You cut off your own hand! Heh. Heheh-- Sorry."

>Stop. Talking.

>Look dignified yet apologetic.

You close your mouth and attempt to look as apologetic as possible behind a faceplate.

Well, let us try solving your little problem, Miss Valentine? Maurice smiled again.
Consider another, more effective way of reattaching the hand. Make sure to de-cauterize both the stump and the severed piece in case of operation.

Just a moment, Simulacrus. I suppose you have a light concussion... maybe something worse, but unlikely. I'll see what I can do with that in a minute; hopefully, the other patient's folly yet can be reversed.
[med:5]
Well...you could always sever the burnt flesh and try to reattach as much of the blood vessels and arteries as possible while sewing the hand back on as well. If you did it right it would get blood back into the hand and preserve it well enough until she could get real help. It would be completely useless to her,if not worse then useless because it would impede her actions and have to be very carefully taken care of, but it would keep her hand alive.

It's a bit hard to explain exactly without going into all sorts of shitty geometry about it being x degrees away so here's a picture.

woops.

You flex your hands and then your arms and legs. You feel sore, as you would expect after a fall like that, but nothing feels broken and all your limbs still work.

"Where was the camera again?"

Get the camera and give it to Charro, then get back to people catching duty.

"So, loner, going to go ahead and try to climb with the tools?"

So, Miss Valentine, here is your choice. I can try reattaching your hand, and if everything proceeds smoothly, blood will get back to the hand and keep it alive until you get back on board. But even at best the hand would be useless, would impede your actions and require special care and attention.
On the other hand, we can let things be as they currently are, and get you a prosthetic later - or maybe even grow another hand.
The choice is yours.

Meanwhile, look into Simus's case of "Falling from a high place and landing on your head" syndrome.
So, how are you feeling, Simulacrus? Got any sharp pains?

"Ah, oh, alright," Charro uncertainly accepts the camera, "I'm... Sure I can take care of this!"

He took a breath, considering what to do as he filmed the goings-on infront of him. Then he took a breath, tugged off his helmet and ran a hand through his hair. Having neatened himself up a little, he turned so that he was holding the camera at arm's length, focused on himself with the rest of the group in the background. He gave his most winning smile into its black, soulless lens and turned on the charm as he began to speak.

>Do the above, describe situation and give an insightful commentary for the camera.

((I'm bound to get a good speech roll sooner or later!))

((@Yoink: I had edited the action while you posted, no camera for you. Also, wait for the results of the action before getting the RP going. Charro could die before it. :P

Edit: Nevermind, returned it back to its original form so you won't have to change your post.))

"This place is giving me a headache. I guess the amp and my teammates aren't helping much, but mostly it's the place I'm sure." Gorat mutters once more.

You grab the camera, which is still functioning despite faith's best efforts to smash it, and hand it to charro before returning to your place under May.

This is pretty clearly a head injury, though you're not sure how bad it is. Could be a concussion or she could be hemorrhaging like a hemophiliac masturbating with a cheese grater. It's hard to tell.

You tug off your helmet and immediately regret it. The temperature here is well below zero and you can already feel your skin burning and simultaneously going numb.

Milno stares at Charro wordlessly for a moment.

"Not very smart, are you?" he asks with a smirk. "Just don't do anything stupid with the camera."

Gorat opens his mouth to say something, but is at a loss for word. So he just keeps his mouth open, thankfully behind his faceplate, before remembering to close his mouth again. He then looks around. How broad is the path of the rope light compared the path of the brothers?
