Anyone still in there with a way out, get out. Now.
Stop and slowly re-approach the area, keeping a sharp eye out for anything unusual.
For some reason you decide to turn on your heel and head back toward where you had been running moments ago. You make your way back slower this time, keeping an eye out for anything that qualified as more unusual then what you had already seen. You round the tower and catch a glimpse of Thomas riding a wave of sand and stone at Milno and Chin. Yeah, thats different.
"W-well at least we know he can see us!"
KEEP. FILMING.
((EDIT: Also, could I get my skills and stats?))
You keep filming, specifically keeping an eye on Thomas as he surfs sand like a madman. God, this gonna make you so fucking rich. Between mentally counting your money and keeping the camera trained on thomas, you think about a way to free him.
[int:4]
Hmm. Well that fire goo stuff seems to be using his body like some sort of vehicle maybe? Maybe it would jump to a different body, given the chance? But what kind of body and how would you get it to do that? Hmm.
(( I wonder if 'Thomas' having power over that staff is only due to the ink thing, or it has something to do with him discovering that 'fork', or with Milno bashing him with it
Well, whatever. As always, the story makes perfect sense of all details, however small. I guess, that's why (among a dozen other equally good reasons) ER is so great ))
Damnation!.. I'm afraid I am of no use here now. Time for people with ranged weapons, I believe, preferably energy ones. It seems that ordinary matter cannot damage it-him.
Throw another pebble - this time aiming for the staff's forked end. If I miss, or not-Thomas doesn't react to it, hobble towards the nearest exit from the Tower.

You grab another stone, aim it carefully at the tuning staff and then throw it with all your might. It strikes the pole and clangs off the forks with a rather strange tone. Sand under your feet seems to shiver for an instant but nothing else happens. You take that as your cue to de-ass the area and start hobbling for the nearest exit. On the way, you think of some method of freeing Thomas. [int:6] Does shooting him to death and then gluing the parts back together count? Because your money is on salvation through dismemberment.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
Run away.
NAOW.
"I THINK IT'S BEST WE SEE OTHER PEOPLE/POSSESSED SHADOW MONSTERS!" You scream as you run for the nearest gap in the wall, powering past Maurice as he limps along.
((I suspect I pretty much have to post an action now. Feel free to override it for me. If there's something left of Gorat to act, also feel free to act for me during my night.))
Create a heat sphere on Lighteater. If Thomas' head can be spared, try to do so.
[exo:1]
The sight of seeing the Thomas, lightlessly ablaze and hurtling toward you is enough to make any sort of coherent use of your amp impossible. That doesn't stop you from trying, however.
"DIE DIE DIE DIE AND ALSO DIE!" You shout, your brain nothing but a flurry of activity and images of things burning. You feel the amp stretch into your mind and dig in with white hot fingers. The air boils around you, screaming with energy and random fury. You vision swims and you can only watch as your right arm glows white hot and then crumbles to ash an instant later. Pockets of random heat appear all around you, bubbles of red and orange and white, glowing for and instant before vanishing. One of these bubbles catches Thomas at the knee and his leg vanishes. He falls back, off the wave of sand and stone and lands flat on his back. The rushing wave of sand doesn't slow down.
((Sorry about being late. I rested, analyzed the situation and realized there is an enormous wave of stone trying to smash both Milno and Chin. And aside from not being in-character, Chin would probably have died if I had actually dropped him, oooops.
Go with Intelligence if you are better at it. It basically works somewhat like Intuition. And sorry if you end up dying, Chin. Also, we're dividing the camera's worth in tokens in even parts, and if Milno is still alive by then, I'll make sure it happens.))
As Milno ran while carrying Chin, he just knew things were going down and getting worse. They had failed so far in helping Thomas, their efforts more directed towards flailing, running around like retarded lemmings and acting like overall idiots. He also hadn't been much of a freaking help but was to be expected of him anyway.
Then that sound rang. That damned noise that felt like the toll of a bell announcing someone's death. It was different, as if the ex-Thomas - new Ligtheater thing really happened to be pissed off and taking action.
"Heh, cutting his neck doesn't seem too bad now."
"Hey team, back to thinking on a way to free Albino Lover from that alien, we already had enough of flailing and walking around."
Chin started to signal to leave him be, but Milno simply ignored it. Like hell he was gonna take any orders from anyone but himself. It didn't take long and Chin started to commemorate, which died as soon as Milno saw as the creature bringing the tuning rod to his other hand. The young man smirked and kept running only for a wall of sandstone to appear in front of him, summoned by the creature as it started to ride a wave of rock and sand towards both of them, their chances of survival dwindling.
"Yeah, we might be screwed now."
Milno grinned. Yeah, he already knew it; he was basically useless without his suit, weapons and especially his rockets. No surprise either, he had just been expecting for that occasion where the rockets would be even more necessary and he would be stuck between a rock and a hard place. Now it was happening, and basically in one the most literal ways possible. At least he had eaten something before that.
Still carrying Chin, try to kick off the side of the wall and leap over the wave of stone the Lighteater is riding. If possible, get his staff as well with the most apt hand.
Well, Thomas was down, but that wave of pain was still riding high and in your direction. Lets hope all those years watching Kungfu movies paid off.
[dex:3+1]
You spin on your heel, plant your feet and charge back toward the approaching wall of pain, closing the distance while also running toward the wall. Just as the avalanche of stone and sand is about to strike you, you leap up, planting your feet on the wall as best you can while off balance with Chin on your shoulder, and push yourself up and forward with all the might your exoskeleton boosted legs can muster. You spring off the wall, pull a half turn and land flat on your back, just behind the wall of stone. Chin, bleeding badly from a lost arm, rolls to a stop a few feet away.
Thomas, crippled and unable to stand, swings the staff in a wide circle around himself, the fork cutting into the sand as it goes. He holds the staff up in front of him and the sand moves, flowing under him and lifting him up. Before he's even back on his feet the staff is moving again, tracing complex paths through the air and sand, striking the stone and releasing a chorus of otherworldly tones. The sand around him begins to deform and gather, solidifying into what look like pieces of something: long rods, balls and oddly shaped blobs. As this is going on you feel the ground shake, vibrating with a low, great force. In the great distance down the path you see lights begin to blink out.
