I'm sorry if it seems that this is downsizing your condition, but that is actually amazing.

Anyways, curiosity satisfied, I think we can all agree, if it's messing with your vision, who knows what else it's messing with. Again, I'll advocate getting you out of here and into stasis, but before that, one quick test I'd like to do. Anyone here particularly good at auxiliary systems?

It's progressing too quickly for hauling you back to a stasis pod to affect, or at least affect this stage of, and aside from taking a wild chance on reactivating the tower there's really no way I can think of to get this stuff off and out. Unless... uh... I suppose it's possible it would jump to another host, but more likely it'd either infest both or ignore the new body. There's a good chance they'll be able to fix you back on ship, however.

I wouldn't say I'm particularly good at auxiliary systems, but I can manage. Unless we've got a true specialist I'm probably at least equal to anyone here."

I strongly agree that Thomas should be put into stasis as soon as possible. I don't even want to consider if the effects might be irreversible, or what part could be subdued next. Do not worry, Thomas: we will save you.  However fast it is progressing, you seem able to fight it, or at least stall, so you do have a chance.

Oh, and actually I am also mildly versed in the use of the auxiliary systems. Used to pilot aircraft back in my days. A long time ago, though.

I suggest we attempt to seal his suit and take his external microphone offline, to see if that will render him "blind" to the outside of his suit. If we don't find some way to do that, his "vision" will likely be overloaded the second he's out of this dimension, and that would be very, very bad for him. He can have his external mic on in here, though, just not outside.

This place is effectively silent. Our reality, by comparison, is deafening.

"Alright. Just remember that anyone who leaves won't be back in time for the mission, and might as well go in stasis. I don't suspect we have enough food to last a week, nor do I want overstay our welcome here.

As an additional caution, I suggest Thomas be wrapped in rope and dragged so there is no immediate contact.

On that note, how are we doing wounded wise? Have the medics fixed everyone, or do we have a few cripples?"

We can request more supplies, I believe, if needs be.

And the suits, both his and our own, will prevent direct contact. No need to tie him up, not for now, at least, as he's still in control. If he starts to go under, though, that is a different matter.

Thomas, should I switch the external microphone off now, or would you rather have it switched (by someone else) right before leaving the anomaly?
Oh, and no, we have time and supplies. Consider that our supply consumption is going to be about 20% or 30% less due to the decreased size of the team. And I'd rather not decrease it even further by being too impatient to wait, as we might end up needing every body.
