Feyri scanned the screen for more files. "Right, right. You do that." Somehow, this was of higher priority than even looking at Charro.

"So Mesk, hows Jim?"

"Yeah, I'm still alive.  Jim is... decidedly less so.  He's not very mobile, you see.  Which brings me to my next point; could someone help me move his body back to the elevator?  I think he's made of solid lead."
Keep trying to move Jim, accepting help if it comes.

"Well, he IS a robot made from metal and synthetic muscle. That model should weigh around 300 or so pounds, so yeah, you could use some help."

Bishop looks back at Charro pointedly.

"That sounds like your cue Charro. Put those weak arms to use."

Bishop, not to leave a girl hanging, high fives feyri back. He sees the computer and decides to have a look.

Check out the computer, compare to the data pad from the military observer.
The data on the pc, from what you scan through, is much the same as the stuff on the military overseer's pad. In fact, it talks even less about what they found in the "puddle".

Check that PC too! Look for files on those 'zombies', how they affect others and how they were developed.
You stand behind Bishop and tell him to look for things on zombies. He dutifully searching for you but finds nothing.

>Give Bishop back his datapad for research, stand around trying to look impatient.
"Mesk, you still alive? Tell us if, you know, anything tries to eat you. "

>Perform an intense study on my surroundings to pass the time whilst the others faff about with the computer.
You walk down the hall and hand bishop back the datapad and do your best to look like you either really want to leave or really have to use the bathroom. When they ignore that you decide to sit on the bed and look around.

The bed is nice enough, blue blanket, white sheets, gel pillows, but very dull. If anything thats what this room is, dull. Everything is by the numbers, by the book, following the man's plan, man. You're willing to bet this place was spotless before people came in looking for things and dumped everything Even the bookcase is filled with nothing but technical manuals and text books and stuff, except for that copy of "The gift" by Poe.

"Yeah, I'm still alive.  Jim is... decidedly less so.  He's not very mobile, you see.  Which brings me to my next point; could someone help me move his body back to the elevator?  I think he's made of solid lead."
Keep trying to move Jim, accepting help if it comes.
[str:6-1] You manage to get him unwedged and, with much exertion and horrible screeching of metal sliding on metal, drag his frozen carcass all the way back to the elevator room, shoving him up against a wall.  Whew.

Jim sat and stewed in his metal prison. He damn well heard Mesk ask for this over the coms, and when he got control back of his body, they were going to have a talking to. For now, he waited in the complete sensory deprivation that was his existence without the machine.

"Huh. Odd that the project lead would have less than the military advisor on this "puddle" thing. Well, there's nothing here, so unless you can find something, I say we move to the barracks and then head down."

Proceed to the barracks and search for stuff.

Who knows, it could be worth something. The Armoury Master might appreciate poetry! Distracting himself from the possibility of death with such (not very) calming thoughts, Charro marches along with the others, rifle at the ready.
"Are we going down a level, soon? As fascinating as this is, we really should get on with it..."

"I know man, but we have to check each level. And who knows, we might find some real cool stuff which we might skip if we don't look everywhere."

Bishop looks over his shoulder at Charro as he walks.

"Relaaaax. It'll be fine if you stay alert and work fast."

(Your amp is still active by the way)

Proceed to the barracks and search for stuff.
You head out of the project lead's room and down the hall, past Jim and Mesk in the elevator room, and through doors that Mesk opened. You look around in the barracks. There's a stack of 8 data pads laying on one bed and a pile of...melted human corpses in the corner...You get the distinct feeling that Jim might have had something to do with this.

You follow bishop into the scientist barracks

You grab the gift and notice that there is something wedged between the pages. You open it up. On the title page for "The Purloined Letter" there is a datachip for a datapad.

"Well, looks like Jim's been busy. Alright then."

Check all the datapads for info, and remove all the datachips for all the pads that I've collected so far instead of just carrying the pads.

You read through the data pads. Mostly personal stuff, talking about the realization that all their friends are going to be dead by the time they get back home, fears if dying alone in space, and great amounts of porn, blah blah blah. There's bits and pieces about the project, but these men seem like they were all relatively minor parts of the project, working on individual parts without any real concept of what the over all project entailed. You take them anyways.
