You hear the door open behind you and two powerful hands grab your shoulders and pull you back out of the room. The men escort you back to the rec room and leave you there, alone.

"Um, oh..wow. Yeah, I guess I have an hour or two to blow"
"The condition you have here, "Mr. Yankovichy,is terminal. It is not curable, but it is treatable. You were changed on a genetic level, every cell in your body rewritten. You have been Altered. The effects of this will begin to appear as your cells naturally die and new ones grow to take their place. We will be starting you on a drug regiment to slow this process, but we can not stop it. Further more, injury of any kind will act to greatly accelerate the changes, as you have seen.
It is true that these changes will grant you greater capabilities than a normal man but they will also slowly erode your mind and your capacity to control your actions. Eventually your body will serve a new master and you will be nothing but an isolated soul within the body of a beast."
The man pauses a moment and looks down at you.
"We will be implanting a...self destruct system in you. It will destroy your nervous system and brain instantaneously. When the day comes that you are unable to control yourself, we will expect you to use it. Because if you do not, we will."
The man motions for a nurse holding a syringe and the nurse comes over and injects you with something.
"Use twice the normal amount" says without looking away from you. "Do you have any questions?"
((If I knew there was a great deal of pain involved I would have picked this one already. Also, how much time? I wanted to hit the VR machines and create two things.))
Milno giggled. Ah pain, how he liked it; such a delightful way of remembering him he was alive. It was just a pity his body was weaker than his mind, though.
Well, someday even his flesh would also have to cope with it. After all, there were eight more missions to go and it was bound to get more resistant to pain and suffering until then. He decided to spend the time until the pain kicked in with two projects he had in mind. When the pain kicked in, he would not resist it. He would embrace it and laugh as it wrecked his brain.
Delightful, indeed.
Till the next mission starts you'll be bedridden. You could ask someone to bring you a datapad so you could get some work done though. It won't be as good as a VR machine, but it will be something.

It's not up to me to decide what he does with his suit. Once it's out of the armory master's hands, it's the player's property and responsibility. You could kill him if you wanted to.
((We talked and yeah, he'll buy his own suit. I am keeping mine because of the drawings, which I will transfer to my next suit by paying the price for keeping only the MkIII's shoulderplates.))
