((Um, it's actively not attacking us and instead is trying to communicate. I'm not worried about it attacking me as long as we don't scare it, and there's pretty much no chance of that if I'm the one looking instead of, say, Xan. The reason I'm outside is because I'm worried somebody is going to attack, what with the dozens of people readying various forms of fire.))

Seeing Morul raise his weapon, Felix raises his flamethrower's nozzle as well, a half-smirk on his face.

Flamethrower at the ready, as well. If everyone present is mostly facing one direction, keep an eye on our flanks and rear. Charge another Con bonus if my first one expired or something.

((climbing walls isn't relevant when the walls are part of it, Lenglon.

More relevant is that your suit was cat-ized, which makes you safe.))

Boarding or Defence.  Playing space-pirate is fine, and so is running/making/designing defence bots.

"Right. The giant brain is a decoy. The real core is elsewhere, likely deeper down. Get ready, things could get rough."

Engage loudspeaker, and hold the flamer at the ready. Don't aim at anything yet, but get ready to.

"Right. Can you direct us to our teammate? I've no problem with you, but we aren't leaving a man behind."

((Really, I'd consider us all to be a threat. I mean, your body considers all foreign objects to be dangerous, why would this one? Follow the DF principle. Everything wants to kill you. It may not try, but it wants to.))
If this works: Xan follows along, showing no sign of hostility but continuing to ready his brain to reinforce his will (charge amp).
If it doesn't: Xan grumps and heads back down to the bottom level.

Just blandly follow Morul, shedding auxiliary tears.

(( @Radio, I have no preference, I'll volunteer for wherever you think a medic is necessary. I would imagine Assault and Boarding would be the important ones to have Medics, since defense will have the same benefit as we had on the last defense, where they can run casualties into the Sword.

Volunteer for Assault and Boarding duty, though Denzel will gladly do Defense duty as well.

As for the anomaly, back away.

((Steve would volunteer for defense.  Especially if there's any AUX systems he can use.  Otherwise he's useful as a medic, but he doesn't really have any combat abilities so assault/boarding is a bad idea.  It's up to Radio though.))
