Turn off kinetic amp.

"Arrrggghhh fffuuuucccckkkk!!! My arm!!! Fuck! Arrggghhhh!!!! Shit! Faith? Faith? Could you see what you can do with it? Please? Arggghh......."

Examine my pulverised arm and hand. Try not to pass out.

((I really shouldn't try to punch doors in. Other than a bullet wound, they've been my primary source of injuries.))

((As an aside, it's my left arm/hand that's screwed. I can't believe I punched my own hand. Well, at least I'm right handed. Can I still use pistols and stuff with a kinetic amp on that hand, or do I have to take it off to hold a pistol?
Plus, we now have more hamburger meat for Milno if we make it out alive. Yummy, infected hamburger meat.))

Jim, don't-

Simus starts as she sees Jim rip off the door.

. . .

Too late now. Jim, the man's obviously terrified of us, and you may have just exacerbated that fact. Let the non-robotic of us try to get him out, either of us two going in won't help, it'll probably just freak him out even more. And I don't blame him for it, in fact, I'm surprised that nobody else we've run into, that didn't start shooting us automatically, has freaked out, especially over me and you.

"I'm banking on him being scared enough to automatically do what we say. The masses are basically sheep and if you speak with enough authority in your voice they'll probably fall in line," Jim said on a private channel - meaning no external audio - to Simus as he looked through the doorway. "Or do you want Mesk to 'doctor' him into listening to us?"

"Huh?  Yeah, I can do that!  I'll doctor at him so well he'll cooperate out of gratefulness!"
Pause.
"That's what you meant, right?"

Back over the private channel:

Scare someone enough and they'll either back down, as you're wanting him to, or lash out. Though in the case of the latter, even if he can't do anything, he still might make it out and we'd have to hunt him down. I'm just saying that it's likely to be more sure of his cooperation to send in a human to talk him down, instead of banking on the chance that he'll go passive if you terrify him enough. Say of Mesk what you will, but the advantage with him is he is not externally completely inhuman, nor are other members of our squad.

"You mean Ashley? I think he - or she, I'm not really sure about that one at all - is more like an inanimate object for all they've done on this mission. And Bruce got put back in stasis. It's just me, you and Mesk... and while Mesk is human, he's also likely to kick their faces off. And I mean clean off. It'll be like there's a ton of rubber masks on the floor," Jim replied, trying to make light of the situation while still explaining that he wanted to give this diplomacy thing a go. If he failed at it, well, then he failed at it, but he wouldn't know if he could pull it off until he tried.

((Bruce got sent back up?))

Wahnsinnige im gespräch mit irrationalen... Alright. Just keep in mind that fear can make the best people become irrational. Terrify him too much and he may never come willingly. And I'd hate for us to be the ones pulling the trigger on an unarmed civilian.

(Yeah, remember? He slapped May and then Thomas gutted him.)

Jim's emoticon grinned. "I don't have a gun. No trigger pulling here," he said. "Anyway, I'm not insane. Nor that irrational, I don't think. I just want this mission over with. The faster I get ten down and out of here, the better."

Bishop walked outside just in time to see one of his teammates hopping around with a mangled arm.

Team A:

Jim sighed and ripped the door off the hinges. "Look, just hear me out for a second. I'm a robot sent from the UWM. I'm just here to evacuate survivors to the APCs. That's all. Now, if you want to leave peacefully, I can lead you there. Do you see this?" He pointed at the ruins of his head. They'd apparently already seen the blood. "Some people - former prisoners - took offense to the idea of anyone leaving. That's why I look like this. Now, can you please just gather your loved ones and get ready to evac?"

[Team A Medic - Mesk]

"Uh, yeah, what he said.  Got any wounded?  Bring out yer dead?"
Do general assisty stuff.

[jim char:1]

Jim tears the door of it's hinges and charges into the building, shouting that people should trust him despite the fact that he's carrying part of their house, half crushed in one hand. He proceeds to try and explain his situation while about a dozen men, women and children scream and pelt him-harmlessly- with house hold objects.

"They seem to be a bit afraid of me." He says as a lamp bounces off his head.

Team B

[Team B Leader=Milno]

Milno double-checked he had shut off the external speakers before sighing. "Oi, team. If and when I get incapacitated beyond salvation, I'll lock my suit's joints so I can be transported with more ease. You guys will get me sent to the ship when that happens and I'll relinquish command to someone else."

Just wait.

Spoiler: A-B Teams (click to show/hide)

Look around.
"You guys head to the elevator with us, we make sure that you aren't attacked. Then you take the elevator up, and you're home free."

The group in the building sends off a runner to the other hidden pockets throughout the area and minutes later thin streams of men and women are walking down the main street. They eye you all suspiciously but keep moving and don't attempt to murder/bother you. Very quickly the entire block has been evacuated and any remaining citizens are just waiting for new APC's to come down the elevator.

"Well, that was easy, huh?" Says Thomas, watching the last of them go.

"Where are we?" May responds.

"Somewhere odd, May, somewhere odd and tiring."

Team C

Stacy, Team C Announcer, In Radio Room.

"Hey stacy, why do you have a girls name? And why do you talk in what I have the strangest feeling is sort of a pinkish color? Also why do you have a t-shirt that says "Hot stuff, coming through"?"

"You see, Spoonmeister, I frequently ask myself the same question. And I'll be darned if I can come up with any sort of answer. It could only be a coincidence, I believe."

Upon hearing the screaming, he perks up a bit.

"What I also believe is that somebody just gave away their position to us. How nice of them! The transmission worked, seems like. Always tell the truth, that's what I always say."

Head over to Miyamoto, watching out for treachery on the way.

To Miyamoto: "I sent a transmission all across the level, and, judging by the screaming, the people are realizing the situation they're in and are alerting us to their presence! Amazing, eh?"

You head back out to Miyamoto, pancaek in tow.

Name:Flint - Team C - Housing block C, a burnt room

Keep talking in a soothing manner (sing a lullaby? sing "warm kitty"?) and continue slowly approaching the child. If I manage to get close enough offer it my hand. If the child runs, go after it and catch it.

"Bring out yer dead?"

((@People giving me control: Well, I seem to have the situation under control for now, and I don't want to RP someone else's actions, especially concerning such a sensitive matter. It would feel wrong, like someone else writing a sequel instead of the original author. But if the screams Stacy evoked weren't imaginary we may face battle soon. If that happens I'll try to make her fire from cover... although judging from previous behavior that's out of character too! :P))

You manage to lure the child in the rest of the way by calmly offering it a drink of Xeno spit. The child takes a sip and shakes it's head in disgust for a few moments before freezing and then dropping to the ground and squirming.

"Oh, thats right. Hallucinogen."

Team D

Team D - Lukas

Lukas walks over to Sambo after hearing an explosion of gore. He shakes his head at Sambo's arm. "Tssk, tssk. That is unhealthy."

Knock on door Sambo was about to open.

You brush off some Sambo arm and knock on the door. You get no response. This doesn't seem to be the fastest way to do things.

You find it hard to examine your arm since your arm is kind of in a lot of little pieces all over the place right now. Oh dear, that is bleeding a lot. Oh dear oh dear.

Bishop walked outside just in time to see one of his teammates hopping around with a mangled arm.

"...

Y'see, this is why I like guns. It's some what harder to maim yourself than it is with one of those. Someone better fix him up before he bleeds out or something. Don't forget to reseal his suit, or he'll get infected be the plague."

Check the next building with Lukas.
You stick around behind Lukas, ready to kill any hostiles...or civilians.

[Team A Medic - Mesk]

"Hey, hey!  Stop!  Hey, listen!"
Run inside, hold up hands in a placating gesture.
"Excuse my colleague, he's a little... confused.  Uh, faulty AI, messing with his neural pathways, cybernetics eating his soul, that sort of thing.  But it's ok!  Jim here, and Simus over there, they're good people.  So to speak.  Um.  Please, come with us, we're with the UWM.  We're here to help.  Really."
Say.

Team D - Lukas

Turn up the volume of speech and say the following: Attention to all people that are still holding up in this area. I am a member of a rescue team sent by the UWM. We are here to rescue you and we mean you no harm. The governor is gone and so are his forces. If you would please come out of your houses in a peaceful manner, we will escort you to APCs that will bring you to safety. Those who require medical attention will receive it.

Name:Flint/Parent of the year - Team C - Housing block C

Well least it's not running away. What does this thing have in it? I don't understand what its problem is. My father used to give me booze all the time when he wanted to shut me up and I turned out fine. Flint told himself. ...Maybe it should had run away...

@Anyone:"So, can anybody answer a question, that is by the way completely unrelated to me or my situation? Anybody knows how long the effects from a sip of xeno spit last?"

Take the child in my arms and sit somewhere. Read the label of the xeno spit bottle for any useful info. Stay with the child and make sure nothing (else) bad happens to it (like it swallows its tongue or something). Inspect the child for anything wrong that wasn't caused by me.Hope it wakes up soon. Hope I haven't done any lasting damage.

I'm not good with children, I never liked those little beasts, always wanting stuff and crying and seeking attention. How was I supposed to know what to do? And besides, it's not my fault. How the hell was I supposed to know this is a hallucinogen? And it's not like I'll scar his 'sensitive little mind'. Seeing his parents burn to death was probably 10 times worse. Flint kept trying to make himself feel better with excuses. It wasn't working.
