It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

The orbiter can't scan precisely what the rover hasn't seen with that orbital uplink addon active, its too focused on the rover's potential commands and status. You need to turn that off first to regain orbital flexibility (you can reboot it later.).

Can the rover mine independantly? Would disconnecting trigger the self-destruct?

Yes and no respectively. the uplink is only an optional interface. All it does is reform the comms link into full connection instead of just orbiter to rover.

If we are still waiting for it to finish mining then I would like to disconnect and get some scans done so that we don't run into any more villages...

Orbital Interface disabled.

Sector 6,-4:
Nothing new. High in minerals, low in new data.
Orbiter Scan 5,-3 > 5, 1: No villages detected.

Inv:
A good amount of coppery mineral.

Let's fill out this map a little more. Head north three map tiles!

That would only add three more blocks to the map. (8, 1 being the farthest out new tile) The rover can detect 2 tiles out from itself in any direction, if you haven't noticed already. Unless you're just trying to green out more of the map, which it probably will do. Not much happening in the mountains.

Also, a note: the orbiter only scans for what you ask it to. There still could be other dangers in the scanned but green designated areas.

Oh. I guess we should head away from the boring green designations then. Head east three instead!
