Ghost trouble.
« on: April 01, 2012, 11:50:00 am »

I seemed to have lost a dwarf, but he has no body, and he hangs out near the bridge.

Is there any way to placate him if we cant identify him as dead cause i think i smushed him with the bridge?

Make a slab in the mason's workshop, and then engrave it in the craftsdwarf's workshop.

He is missing, cant engrave cause no one knows hes dead cause they never found the body. (Dwarf atom smasher A.K.A The bridge he stood under.)

You should be able to do it once he is officially reported missing, I believe.

otherwise dfhack again

tweak clear-missing

I know everyone calls it a program for cheating, and it is, but it also occasionally offers a way to fix bugs as they come up instead of waiting for toady to repair it.

If you're playing the latest version, the fact that his ghost is visible means that he shouldn't be "missing" anymore - if he is, then that's a bug.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.
