Ok, while playing legit (almost, save for one use of NEI to recover my stuff from a nasty Mystcraft/Redpower crash, then creating a full "notebook" to replace my legit nearly-full one to avoid making any more random bugged flat/cave worlds to get the remaining symbols, and thus preventing more crashes) I finally completed my Thaumonomicon and opened my first:

On another note, I'm happy that Age data is now stored in separate files, that way you can delete an age completely and recycle the (now blank) Descriptive Book, probably also even move them between saved games :)

EDT: Also, Seven League Boots + Sword of the Zephyr rule for quick traveling.

Oh, you're in multiplayer? Someone else already killed it; look for the portal to go back to the overworld.

no, it's my server I play with relatives

well, I'm restarting because we want to play only technical mods for a bit and build some industrial complex (ie disable thauma and EE from tekkit)

Haven't been bothered multiplayering, trying to get some demonic horses in Mo' Creatures, as well as find what other fun stuff he's hidden in the mod.

Yeah, understandable. I need to pick up my singleplayer LP again but server and work and other games (damn you steam sales) and life and and...

I can't wait until EE3 is finalized and arcanacraft is finished and SMP compatible. I plan to open an arcane-themed server with no technical mods at all. Wizardry!

I've been playing on a Technic SSP world and I swear I get two new turtle pets every in-game day because of my Thaumcraft-automated sugarcane farm being next to a pond where they apparently spawn. It's neat at the beginning when I can wear them as hats, but then they just get huge and block doors and things. :( Now I have an array of turtle pits in the fields around my house so I don't have to go on a pet turtle killing spree.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.

But you can farm TMNT weapons with them :P
I use IC for sugarcane farming myself.

The rock 'buttons' will sometimes give shards of metal if there is a metal vein nearby and near the surface. Each shard will yield 1/4 of a piece of metal ore.
