The forum thread mentions putting it on an athame, going to the End, and going to town on the Endermen with it. I assume it has something to do with teleporting or the prevention thereof.

The various disjunction spells in D&D stop magical effects. If applied in this circumstance, it kind of makes sense. Then again, magic and the like seems more like Thaumcraft's area of expertise.

   I just found an interesting mod. Really simple and does what its name suggests. I made a quick video review of it so without further ado, The Editable Signs mod by Flow86 and my video review of it

I've just put one clone using Quantum and Nano Sabre against another clone using Gem Armour and a Red Katar. Niether can damage the other at all.

Eventually (AKA in a half hour or so) the Gem-Armour clone will win because he will drain the energy from the quantum armor.

With the amount of additional mods I have installed, I'm barely running Technic at the moment :P

It requires some ID reassigning, but it works ok.

I want to use Xie's mods, and a few others, but it's hard to mod Technic ...

No more difficult than modding normal minecraft, you just place jar mods in the modpack.jar instead of minecraft.jar.

   Nope, all abilities of the gem armor is free. Of course each piece takes a fully charged omega star so there you have it.

A full Klein Star Omega is built into each item, this is assumed to provide enough power for all eternity, more or less.

What about the reassigning numbers part?
Go into the config file for the mod in question and look for the ID of the offending block, then assign it a new, free slot.
