Is the ion cannon plugin back?
I remember that from Hmod, there was this awesome plugin that spawned a pillar of tnt with diamond on the outside.
Installed it on my private server and had alot of fun with my friends :3

   There is indeed some form of Ion cannon as it made the hole I live in. Quite nice really, it made a hole next to water so I was able to quickly ascend the pick tech tree right to diamond as there was a few just hanging out at the bottom.

That or the server went borked and decided to generate a new one for the lulz even though it shouldn't have.

There was hardly any point in keeping the flatworld, there was nothing in it, Baneling. This map actually has all the tekkit stuff in it now.
Also yes, the ion cannon is still a thing. But it has to be given coordinates now.

Two guys did a test. One used EE and the other used IC². The EE person created an infinite diamond generator AND caught up with everything the IC guy did in 6 hours, which mainly consisted of two machines and a couple of wires.

Either EE is overpowered or IC is too expensive   I don't know how you get to making infinite blocks, but it happens apparently :/

EE pretty much starts out with making infinite blocks; albeit slowly at first.

But only blocks you've found first, unless you manage to obtain an alchemical tome.

   Slow but cobblestone is worth 1, combine 3 cobblestone and you get a 6 cobblestone half steps which are each worth 1. Also if your allowed to use redpower then philosopher stone can make a mooshroom and you get infinite milk and mushroom soup from it which can be acquired with a deployer.

Or you could just convert 1 oil pool into about 200 diamonds.

   But that is limited, I was thinking of infinite. Other things using redpower are Darkrooms, Flaxcapicitors, and using a blockbreaker on a cobblegen. In EE its not to hard to get infinite matter but its slow, to really get stuff fast you need to add Redpower.

Or you can rush destruction catalyst and hollow out the entire underground.
