You make them into other items, presumably.

Like the guy in the video on the mod page from the forum makes iron oxide into thermite.

I always thought Minecraft needed gas/smoke. Just a fluid that can spread upward (does so with less/more priority depending on density) as well as sideways/down. Make it start with a value (32?) and split it between neighbours instead of decrementing like water does. When you reach density one, disperse into normal air. In confined spaces, gas could last indefinitely, but spills in open air will vanish quickly.
I hope this chemcraft has something like this-- checking it out now!

I remember back when I followed the MC forums there was quite a few people suggesting gasses. I had hoped for a few different types of behaviour. Having some that are heavier than air and others lighter. Flammable gas that sinks would be fun so long as you were careful around magma.

Cool idea, but chemcraft has nothing like this.

It would be neat though. You could hit gas pockets as you mine with various effects.

Minechem.get()

It plays (mostly*) nice with technic. Seems I'll be using this mod too! :D

*It seems to have transmuted my 2 musket w/ bayonet into fire sticks and the musket ammo into something, but other than that minor block ID related thing, no issues. :P

Edit: Hrm... it doesn't seem to add as much as I had hoped; it certainly has potential for growth though.

Hmm. Has the way that Extractor Mk 2 modules work been changed or something? They only seem to be pulling one item at a time, in my last world they did a whole stack at a time :/

   From what I know of the modules all Mk 2 did was make it extract singular items faster then the normal one. Its the quick sort module that pulls stacks out.

the way they work is fundamentally different. Quicksort module will pull entire stacks, but only from chests and other large inventories and only if there is somewhere in the logistics network for the items to go.

Extractors will pull single items at a time, and they do not check (iirc) if there is a destination for them.

Aye I'd set it up wrong, I have extractors in my macerators etc and the quick sort module in my input chest where I just dump all my stuff to be sorted into my actual chests.
