With a macerator, 2 wooden pipes, 2 redstone engines an energy condenser and 2 blaze rods, you can get billions of EMC.

Blaze rod macerates into 5 blaze powder, 5 blaze powder condense into 2.5 blaze rods

Mod interactions are generally not balanced well.

Nah.

Mod + EqEx interactions are not balanced well. Most other mods work fine together, but throw EqEx into the mix and things get screwed up. I was just using a specific example that's obscenely effective.

And the problem is X3n0, and now Pahimar, spend half of their development time in EqEx nerfing it in relation to other mods, except instead of adding those nerfs into the compatibility checks, they add it into base, so useing EqEx on it's own is basically worthless.


Apologies if I'm coming across as antagonistic, stupid drama on the Technic forums an' shizz.

Seriously, all mod forums are horrible. Just take a look at IndustrialCraft's rules for people making addons.

Anyways, for those of you who want a VERY heavily modded (but balanced :D) server, I'm making one soon with a scructured buying thing and such, probably will be finished by the middle of the summer. Any Bay12 folks can come on when I start. Who'd be interested?

I've been holding off on making a modded server until Buildcraft and some other mods catch up and go SMP. The only multiplayer buildcraft right now is pretty poor compared to the 3.x version.

That said, if you get a good mod setup I'd be willing to give it a try.

Once they merge SMP/SSP in the next few versions of minecraft and certain mods update, I will be running my own server as well

It sucks that Eloraam is kinda going FlowerChild about her mod. And RedPower can't be ported to bukkit 1.2.5 because it's "not stable" and it can only be ported when "she gets some fixes in this (month-long) week". Not exact quotes, but sums it up.

What do you mean Eloraam is going Flowerchild on Redpower. I can understand the context, but never really had the time to check what Flowerchild really did.

tl;dr is he was a big dick in terms of his mod and his rules, broke Forge compatibility (at least for a time), and stuff like that. Also had a blacklist IIRC.

Whereas Eloraam is one of the major contributors to creating Forge...

I don't see the correlation.

Not in terms of Forge, in terms of "hushing" things related to her work not made by her. As in kinda being a control freak I guess? I just find it excessive.

She doesn't want a buggy mess being released and attributed to her, I think that's perfectly fair. I'm also relatively certain that the current Redpower build has had its bukkit port released already.
