Taint and such work chunk by chunk so something i have been meaning to try is a mix of the crystal farm and seals of dark magic magic in the chunks surrounding the taint chunk. the seal cancels taint and vis out on a 1 for 1 basis. Because you have the crystals constantly making more vis when the area gets low it should be able to continue to cancel the taint out.

So it seems I accidentally put my canteen in my wheelbarrow and didn't notice... and then I got really thirsty... so right before going to sleep I go to take a swig from my canteen and... end up snorting a line of low-grade meth.

Well, for one, 32-bit systems are literally incapable of holding more than 4 GB of memory >_>

Yeah, my computer has 8 gigabytes of physical memory slotted in, but the actual memory being recognized and used is 4.

So I may have installed either advanced machines or logistics pipes wrong.

Came back after a mining trip in an unstable age... yeeeaaaah. At least I still have the MV solar array and all my EMC so I can probably rebuild it, but still.

The cobble was just me trying to figure out if the portal I built in the other age had anything to do with it.

DF doesn't mold players into its image - DF merely selects those who were always ready for DF.

Minecraft UI is very simple. There's only so many ways you can implement "simple" without copying something. We also gonna complain that it uses WASD?

Does anyone else who uses ThaumCraft 2 get some intense lag when tossing stacks into a crucible? I've not got much use for my tainted infuser at the moment, so I've got my Crucible of Eyes feeding directly into a purifier. The purifier gets clogged quite easily as it processes all of the taint. The pure vis then proceeds to its destination.

When the crucible is processing stacks of items, my FPS drops from ~23 to 9. That's borderline unplayable, requiring me to stop what I was doing until all of the vis has reached its destination.

I only get a slight lag from crucibles, but I might re-check, since I haven't used them ever since I updated my Thaumcraft to the latest version.

My crucible doesn't lag, but it doesn't lead anywhere, so that might be it.

No, I have  had no problem dropping ~10 stacks of reeds+wood in my crucible, and it doesn't effect my FPS at all.
(Using the latest version and 2 versions ago).

Even when I had it lead to my thauntium enchanting table 20 blocks away there was no lag at all.

Think its just your computer, or something wrong with your install.

Minecraft's entity code is really bad for large groups of items in general. Something with the way they implemented it in OpenGL

For the crucibles, how long/complex is the pipe leading away from it? The way it pulls means it is doing some sort of pathfinding; a really complex and/or looping pipes may confuse their algorithm or at least make it take longer.
