I am D: at the fact that version numbers still aren't u2d in the OP.
So find the information you'd like updated and post it here. M.o.M. isn't our update slave just because he/she started the thread.
All I'm gonna say about that is :V because if you'd go back through my previous posts you'd notice that I did precisely that.

What do you think about finite liquid? I think it's a must have.
It adds realism about how water behaves in the world, and water is no more infinitely "generated" from a tile.
Of course there are inconvenients, like redstone circuits being messed up if it rains (as rain actually adds water in the world too), but that also adds a bit more realism.

A link if you're interested in that mod (which i'm not related to in any way) : http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/259303-125-finiteliquid-v56-wet/

I've never used it. I dislike the way minecraft deals with water, but I understand the reason for it. Is finite water compatible with most other mods though? Will it work with buildcraft or redpower pumps? If not, its useless to me at the moment.

Added to the OP.

Last I checked it did not work with Buildcraft pumps, unfortunately. I faffed around with it a bit in a barebones install, and it was pretty fun. A mite too laggy for my rig though.

FiniteWater needs to be Forge'd.

The new redpower2 pumps look excellent. They pull water/lava source blocks from any body of liquid connected to the input grate and place them out the output grate into tanks that you build yourself. No more buildcraft tanks which magically compress liquid and are difficult to use!

Also makes it easier to automate obsidian generators and to suck up and move magma and then place it elsewhere, unlike buildcraft which cannot place a liquid source block automatically back into the world as far as I know. Its a very intuitive system eloraam has made.

also her new igniters are awesome. Flame lighting for my houses activated by redstone power. Yes! And one of the new logic blocks makes creating airlocks a breeze.

FiniteWater needs to be Forge'd.
if:

1. It were compatible with the major mods.
2. It didn't lag my machine too badly.
3. It retained all functionality of normal minecraft water.

Then I would use it. From what I hear it doesn't achieve #1, and vanilla minecraft to me is one of the most boring games imaginable, so I'll pass but will keep an eye on it.

Dunno if they're actually in. I'm installing the new release when I get home so I'll know then. Direwolf didn't mention them. There was something at the end that LOOKED like frames, could have been scaffolding from ic2 tho

I'm being optimistic. Because those were very frame looking, and Direwolf usually stops his videos on a dime, he doesn't float around looking at stuff.

Even if not, the update looks pretty sexy. Although it's not quite out yet. Probably some time tomorrow.

Frames?
Items which allow you to make moveable Redpower machines. They're basically going to be the best thing since ever.

Yeah. You know how buildcraft has that awesome quarry thing which moves around and digs for you? Frames will let you replicate that machine but in any way you want, using motors, logic blocks, and movable sections. You could build earth boring machines, transports, pretty much anything you want.
