Sir Sengir decided he didn't want Technic using Forestry, rather than asking them to remove it he coded the mod to check for a .techniclauncher folder, if it detected one, you couldn't use the Harvester, you couldn't get rare bee mutations and a new line of "Vengeful" bees were created, when you got them they'd cause blocks to decay and be destroyed randomly around your world.

So basically if you ever used Technic at any point and didn't delete the folder, you're fucked^2.

Gah, Modloader seems to be telling me that Equivalent Exchange and Flan's mods' recipes are conflicting with each other, so it won't boot. D:

That sirSengir is borderline hitting on the privacy thing, i mean he make the game SEARCH YOUR computer if you have a folder named, isnt it breaching my privacy? I get his mod alright, but nowhere it is said he will activly search my computer and break the mod if he find something he dont like....

Its like if MS would search my PC for file belonging to linux WTF!!!

What's with that guy? I mean, the technic pack users aren't the ones packaging the mod, for f**k's sake. I'm betting it must be because of lost Adfly revenue.

Technic/Tekkit mentions supporting the mods and provides links to how to donate to their developers, and I've heard from those with mods in the pack that they get much more from donations than they got from Adfly before being in the pack.

Sengir, for his part, returned the donations that he'd received through Technic. I have no idea what his problem with the Technic pack is, and apparently neither do they since he never asked to be removed; just suddenly coded his mod to damage your world if you used the pack.

I'm surprised nobody has suggested the MoreCreeps & Weirdos mod yet. That thing's the bees knees. If it had bees. Although considering the mod's nature it would probably make the knees of bees before actually making the bees themselves, just to keep things edgy.

Once again, I'll ask kindly that we keep discussion of the technic drama out of the thread. This is a thread for discussing and cataloguing mods, we really don't need to get into all the BS.

Ok, I admit, the technic drama is annoying to have to listen to for those of us that don't use technic, but what was the point of splitting off a separate major mods thread if we can't discuss the major mods, many of which are included in technic?

For me, I'm more sick of being told what I can or can't talk about, minecraft-wise, in each of the minecraft threads.
