Also THIS!
I know, it's the yogscast dummies, but it's quite hillarious.
Ah, the trailmix mod. iChun makes the best gag mods. I also quite love torched, because who doesn't want a rocket propelled torch. Also, didn't the Mystcraft dev say he was planning on making the liquids thing work with the liquids directory, so you could have something like crushed ice dimensions?

Man, a dedicated server of people playing Terrafirma craft would be amazing.

It would be amazing for a few days for the first people to play it. Everybody who joined later would be bored, and everybody period would be bored after the first few days. Terrafirma winds up exactly the same as vanilla, faux creative mode, because it still has the same linear tech tree, and little to no end-game content. There's some wow factor at the beginning, like "Oh cool charcoal pits! ooh.. bloomery!" but beyond that it gets really boring.

Isn't that what all mods are?

The only way to truly keep a game alive is to have a large player base, make it multiplayer, and add as much manipulative content as possible. Minecraft already has an entire world made of legos. Mods allowing for more customization and creativity (and rivalry) will survive the longest. Otherwise everyone will eventually get bored with them.

For TFC, I think it would benefit from having more of a "siege" mentality where you collect resources and build during the day to survive sieges that occur intermittently.

Oh yes. Since nights are already siege-ish in Minecraft... Although I guess they are too short to really matter for a siege. And I'd love to play TFC with Bay12ers again (remember the last one?). Also, soon-ish we might have the last thing to make a Dwarf Fortress in TFC complete - BOOZE! It's actually semi-coded in, as in you can make it, but for now it's useless, although the devs confirmed it will be usable soon.

Might as well link this here, since it seems relevant: Minecraft-themed suggestion game! http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=125845.0

Heavily modded, though I'ma be cheating a so that suggestions that just won't work in the game are still possible. So, not exactly an LP.

If I ran a TFC server based off the tekkit "pack" system, who'd be interested in playing? It'd be whitelist by request.

It's extremely easy to install and keep updated...

If there's interest, I'll run a test server for for a few hours.

I'd give it a try. I haven't done TFC in a while. I can't promise to be on a lot, but will play whenever I can. ingame name is the same as my forum name.

I might join, however I do play some other games lately.. and with Reus being released at the 16th.. well, have me whitelisted just in case. :)

It has been a long time since I played some TFC, so colored me interested!

Same here. I don't know anything about TFC though.
