FTB's private modpack things requires you to not be a dick and get approval from all of the mod authors first.

I think this would all be easier if mod makers not be dicks and not require permission???

No problem with it, although getting a yes from some of em like Sengir might be problematic. I dunno if he has a blaket exception for ftb packs.

He does, actually.
There's quite a few mods that don't need any sort of permissions for FTB private packs, or only minimal stuff like crediting the author. Only a few are permission restricted.

Anyone aware of a universal electricity mod pack that is close to anarchy? I can see a true cold war starting. Both sides dare not fire their missiles, as they will also be met with missiles.

I read "can make anything you can make".... Which to me just implies an absurd amount of automatic crafting tables or the sort.

Even so, such a system is incredibly complex and something I've been trying to do for a while which is why I asked if he has any shots of it. I'm curious how he went about it.

I can try coaxing the person who was hosting the server I was on to send me the save or something.
Basically it all involved a sorting system using enderchests (one enderchest for nearly each item), diamond pipes, UU-matter, pumping water from out of the ocean, and a moving blockbreaker quarry.
Lagged like fuck, though.

I've been working on such a server but its not yet ready for players. I could throw up a FTB server though for you guys.

Sure, though the more people the more lag. This ultimate pack has a lot of mods which means a lot of lag sometimes.
