I really wonder why SM is so unpopular. It's such a usefull and glorious mod.

I think the reason Smart Move is so rarely used is that it has to modify the jar directly. In a modding world where everything runs off forge so you can just pop it in the mods folder, having to install more than one thing directly to the jar is a pain.

People have clearly forgotten that time when everything had to be installed manually into the jar. And you were incredibly lucky to get more than one or two mods running at the same time without base class conflicts.

If anybody's curious, Vswe made a trailer for DW20's pack. It's kinda badass.

I customized my DW20 pack with over 30 other mods and add-ons, some of which aren't exactly stable; but all of which are fun.  8)

In singleplayer mode, I have taken upon the task to construct a railroad from one end of the world to the the other!
Using raiilcraft's Tunnel Bore I can achieve this!
Of course, whenever it stops I gather materials from nearby forests and utilize whatever ores the thing have dug up.
The only problem are creatures of the night which I have to fend off.
Anyone else doing a similar and/or different but daunting task with these mods? :p
(I am using the Voltz Modpack, Railcraft is included.)

You could tell it to build above ground level, and make it with concrete and advanced rails so it looks badass. If you need more materials, have a Steve's carts cart do the mining.

So I haven't really played Minecraft since early 2012. I kind of burned myself out on the Tekkit pack, the InustrialCraft-modslew. Gregtech is supposed to breathe new life into it, but it seems like a mess and has issues. So I was kind of excited to see Voltz/UniversalElectricity project and jumped into that instead.

Not all the Universal Electricity mods are finished yet, but it kicks ass. I highly recommend trying it if you haven't yet. Some things are much better than the IC equivalent, other things are works in progress, a few things are completely new and unique. On the whole, it looks like it will eventually replace most things IndustrialCraft.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Keep an eye on it, I think it's going to be big. Good cooperation between mod authors and significantly less drama from what I can tell.

I like that you call gregtech a mess and excuse all of the issues with UE

Conflicts which UE didn't have and needlessly complicated enough I've seen even /vg/'s nofunallowed autists warn of it. UE is literally unfinished. Some mods aren't complete but planned, and other things are in but unbalanced. Those are my issues with UE. The stuff that is in and relatively "finished" content was somewhat impressive.

You'll be running an IC-central server for at least another year before UE could possibly usurp it. Meanwhile I have been waiting for a fresh tech mod collaboration for a very long time, and can continue to wait for it.

So, I seem to recall someone asking if there was a way to completely take a part their house and rebuild it somewhere else apart from buildcraft blueprints. I might've imagined it, or it might've been in another thread, but I stumbled across the traveling house mod today. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1719481-147forgesspsmpbukkit-travelling-house-mod-v100/

That was actually me and this is pretty much what I wanted. I was hoping for more of a "disappear here and immediately reappear somewhere else", but this is certainly close enough I can make it work. Thanks so much.... Just hope it updates somewhat soon after 1.5 comes out.
