Is it true that werewolves can only be hurt with golden weapons? Because if so, I just had a very close call 0_0;

I don't fully understand what you're trying to do.
Item sorting systems, dedicated rooms for Thaumcraft and EE, decorated rooms and shrines, skylights despite using the top of the volcano for non-transparent blocks, etc

All of which are a nightmare to make when constraining yourself to some designs. Machines that are clearly visible must work with the design aesthetic, align with pillars/prominent contrasting materials, tubes not really visible unless behind glass covers, not too many tunnels bored around the base, etc.

Nah, it's just that their defense for pretty much everything is absolutely bullshit compared to golden weapons. Yes, they can handle musket, blunderbluss, and cannonfire with ease. And quite a significant amount of time in lava too, it's insane, they're like the Shuckles of minecraft.

If you believe the thread, then yes only gold.  Although I presume explosions and suffocation will still work, untested but just guessing.

NINJA: I tend to use the area between floors.  Where you go downstairs, make the floors thick, and then stuff machines into them.  Unfortunately, IC2 wires cannot occupy the same space as a cover or panel, so you can't layer up like that, but at least the redstone bits can be done with red alloy and hidden under thin blocks.

Well, you CAN beat a werewolf with most any weapons, it's just the insane defense can make it pretty much impossible to quickly dispatch one even with an iron sword. So prepare to click a lot.

Thankfully, I lucked out and the jerking motion of the transformation knocked the werewolf into the void. Still, close call. It fell out of the mob tower and transformed mid-flight, nearly landing on my walkway. All I have are stone weapons.

 If you have cactus or fire those would be good ways of dealing with it, as you will do comparable damage with anything else anyway.

 And by good I mean 'may as well'. The only good ways of dealing with it are gold or just avoiding it. Would be nice if the Redpower enchantment that makes weapons more damaging on endermen would work on them.

 Just turn them off. They don't jive with the concept of any of the technical mods on there.

At one point there was an option to disable those buggers. Might want to look into that.

Or build a large complex/outer wall, with a tower/high ground further in so you can see over the wall and check if they're there. Building on the coast helps; you can have a little pier/inlet to boat your way out and avoid having to go through the buggers. Or dig escape tunnels. Lots of little things you can do.

Honestly, I kinda' liked building in that mo' creatures desert. I had to get inventive to avoid pissing off the oni.

It's Mo' Creatures, you can access the Mo' Creatures menu via Escape and something like Global Mod Options.  Turning ogres down or off seems the only rational thing.  They destroy everything except obsidian, and they are indeed total bullshit.

The only (partway reasonable) way I could see to deal with them (besides turning them off) would be automatic defenses (AKA thaumcraft seals or lots of IC 2 tesla coils), or having a (very deep) moat around your house/ highup in the air.
