I was using an older Nostalgia.  Re-got it via the forums + google, so NOW it's downgrading me from 1.3.2 to 1.2.5 and I'll toss in the mods.

Nope, got it working.  The most recent Nostalgia works against 1.3.2 and pushed me back to 1.2.5 successfully, and all the mods popped in and work fine.

Now I just need to be whitelisted!

Pretty sure he added more mods after I put the first pack out, and he's updating the ones that were in the pack too.

Welp, I tried hunting down mods for 1.2.5 before.  Finding mods for an older version of MC that don't fumble over themselves is way more difficult than it should be, especially when the server may not be running the most recent compatible version, and...  Well, I'll just wait for the whatsit or another pack.  I don't need the migraine trying to hunt down mods.

Mo' Creatures tends to kill the shit out of vanilla mobs so it can spawn 90000000000 snakes instead.

Go into Global mod options and disable the "Despawn Vanilla Mobs" setting. Then go to your .minecraft folder and copy the Mo Creatures config from it to your .techniclauncher/technicssp folder
Might need to put it in the config folder, I can't remember.

Bwahaha, 90000000 snakes xD For me, it always summons tons of birds, scorpians, and sometimes deer, and there never is chicken or cow. xD

Snakes seem to spawn infinitely on sand.  It gets rather annoying, they're ruining all my damn crops!  Wheat already has a hell of a time growing, do the snakes have to come and roll around on it?

Well, got some good news and bad news regarding my SkyBlock Myst hub.

Good news is that the little sand island on the map is, by fortune or design, an area with high vis (Thaumcraft). Those little fairy lights have spawned and are hovering around my steadily-expanding sky island, providing pretty lights and bringing some chiming bell music to the mix.

The bad news is those fairies are deceptively solid, and have a tendency to uproot my crops, destroying the seeds. I've already had to use NEI once to give myself some melon seeds, and they destroyed a pumpkin plant immediately after I harvested it.

I've found that panels and covers work well for keeping animals out, actually.  I made a wall of covers (the thinnest one) right next to normal blocks, and had chickens getting stuck all the time.  So you might try putting some covers about to try and keep the wisps at bay.

Failing that, I find a musket works wonders.

On the other hand, what does aura do?  I know that if your taint is high enough, it goes all purply, but what does having high aura do exactly?  It's for some reason desired, but I've observed no actual effects.  You can't exactly harvest it from the air, can you?

How do you make covers? Can they be made with planks or stone?

I was under the impression that you could harvest vis from the air, or maybe that was an older version. Failing that, perhaps having a high aura helps prevent taint from spreading, or requires a higher concentration of taint to begin corrupting your world. No idea though :P
