We must keep mining lest the Mining Monogoose Material Horders get the stuff we missed!

Scan the area for any ores, or any coal, because Coal Miner always goes for all of it. And we want to be able to smelt stuff on our own, so that greedy Blacksmith doesn't take all of our redstone.
Ooh, and possibly getting a "tattoo" from the local Legendary Engraver! Maybe of just swirls or something. We shall vote on this.

ANd so you mine! You get a good solid bit of stuff before...

You strike it rich, in fact! A swing of the pickaxe breaks into open air, and into a massive cavern. You barely avoid dropping the tool into the underdark. You break the hole open further and hold up a torch: the light glints off of massive crystals covering the floor and walls and even the ceiling. What a find! Surely this will make you rich!

...BUt, oh, wait. There are things...moving down there. Well, fudge.

On the plus side, that sword is probably done.
