You attempt to make instrument or sing or look around, but are quickly interrupted by a flurry of questions from sheperd girl. Curious little girl, huh?
“Do you have to breathe? Do you feel things? Do-”
You let out a good-natured laugh and pat the girl on the shoulder, much to her embarresment. “Now, now,” you say in your deep, ringing voice, like the hammering of a forge or the clash of swords in battle. “Why don't you tell me your name, first? Then, maybe, I can answer your questions!”
The sheperd's cheeks heated, but she managed to keep her composure- or more accurately, regain some measure of it. “I-i.... My name is Invidia Nora. B-but people call me Sabrina.” Sabrina looked down, and you could not help but wonder if she was normally that nervous.
“Don't be so shy. I'm Skar! Odd name, but I took it long before your time, dear,” you said, smiling and putting on your best friendly air, especially given that your name provoked slight dismay from the kid. “Now, what were you going to say?”
“Oh, yeah... So about those questions?” she asked, looking at you with a curious smile.
“Erm, Sabrina, I do have to catch up with my companion. So make it quick,” you pointed out, sighing. Finding Tara again would be annoying as hell if she got into the city first. And she would be the kind to do that just to annoy you, even if it would be kind of funny.
“Well,” Sabrina started, scratching her head. “I suppose I could come along with you. I mean, I may as well, if you're heading to the city.” She shrugged and glanced towards the road, where Tara could still be seen in the distance. She certainly wasn't going particularly fast.
