The moral of the story is, never get romantically involved with a Dwarf.

The question then arises: Have the dwarf spat out the tongue, or is he or she keeping it in their mouth or on their person like the grizzly trophy of some psychopathic murder killer?

I found the tongue lying on the ground in a puddle of the goblin's vomit.

"It goes flying off in an arc" should answer that question... I am seeing slow motion Hair swishing 'beautiful man' for that one, but its the beard that moves around.

Okay, consuming your foes is an elvish habit.  That would require a purge.

Hold up. Creatures have tongues now? Is this a recent addition or is this part of a mod?

I'm playing vanilla, most recent version. Also, I can't wait to see the engravings and statues of this incident.

Dammit, this thread inspired me to try ripping off a piece of a plump helmet man in the arena and consuming it, but they aren't available in the arena :/

When you say something offensive and a dwarf says, "Bite your tongue," they mean it in a completely different way than a human would.

Damn, I was about to post the exact same thing, but you beat me to it.  :o

Oh, ICK. Imagine the soldier walking around with a bloody goblin tongue trophy hanging from her mouth.

So yeah, "no french kissing dwarves" is my new unofficial motto...

Certainly you could argue that DF is a lot like The Sims, only... you know... with more vomit and decapitation.
If you launch a wooden mine cart towards the ocean at a sufficient speed, you can have your entire dwarf sail away in an ark.

I had a speardorf do that to a goblin pikeman.
