Pandemic and Pandemic 2?

In fact, I am gonna go have a whirl at this for tthe first time in a long while...
Hmm, the title DOES say other non-humanoids, so I guess pandemic counts.

None of these are really appropriate with the sort of thing I was looking for. :/

Games where "you" lack a shape or mindset don't really apply.

To elaborate on the badness of Wolfquest:
Me and a friend played for about an hour. In that time, the game crashed multiple times, we both got stuck in the ground at least once, and I got trapped in some bizarre running-backwards-in-an-infinitely-enlarging-spiral control bug that I had to quit the program to fix.

The idea behind it was nice (wolf-sim edutainment), but the content was sparse and the programming was very, very shoddy.

Holy crap, I suddenly just remembered this game and had a flood of nostalgia.

I used to have this on my ancient Tandy PC back when I was barely out of diapers:

This game probably fits what you're looking for perfectly (although it is a REALLY old edutainment title, so the complexity is... um... somewhat lacking).

I had fun with this years ago too, though it's very simplistic, yeah. There's also a dinosaur version, for what it's worth.

"A Day for Soft Food" if I'm remembering the name right.  Text adventure about a cat.

Since Ecco the Dolphin is there, might as well throw in Kolibri, for Sega 32x. Conker's Bad Fur Day has you playing an anthropomorphic squirrel, but one stage has you transformed into a bat, which is hilarious. EVO was already mentioned... aand that's about all I remember. There are games like Fighting is Magic, but as far as I know none are complete yet.

I made a spacefaring race of nonanthropomorphic coyotes with butterfly wings in Shores of Hazeron, once.

Just realized an obvious one, Twilight Princess has parts where you're a wolf.
