I had fun making this big pump stack. The magma sea is on Z layer -17. Surface on layer 99. Took me a ton of steel, but once it was complete I built forges and smelters right next to the magnetite quarry. I currently have 1200 iron bars stockpiled. the only limiter on steel is charcoal. I have tons of limestone, the only issue is fuel. It uses 1422 power to turn all those pumps.

Anyways. I added another 10 or so layers to the pump stack and powered it seperately, from a river instead of an aquifer draining into the edge of the map. After a while the magma flowed over the river and stopped the water flow. After the magma dried up, I dug out the river so it would resume flowing. The rest of the magma gets pumped out and now the top level of my magma sea is dry.
