EORTD: Trapped gods.(Round 4: Equip![Again!])
« on: March 27, 2012, 09:09:53 pm »

Hello! I'm back from the realms of unending death to once again attempt a RTD! (for those of you wondering, I was on the bay 12 forums like 2 years ago then vanished in a puff of smoke.) Once again, I will be using the Epic overshoot rules

For those uninformed:
Spoiler: rules (click to show/hide)

Now here's where things start to get different:
Spoiler: overshoot rules (click to show/hide)

Other important things:
Spoiler: The world (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: The Gods (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: The species (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Schools of magic (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Your story (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: items (click to show/hide)

I'll add more things as I think of them.

Personal rules: A d6 decides your species and your species decides which god you are aligned with, only one of each species will be in the party. There are three goals in this game, The party goal is to free the gods from their prison, The personal goal is what the god originally created you to do, I'll give this to you in a PM, The private goal is for you to choose, it can be anything from rule a kingdom or start a bakery. The sixth avatar is known as the Chaos avatar, and is chosen randomly, I will explain this to whoever lands this character. Being as you are created by gods, you can be as crazy as you personally wish, but don't be surprised if your team-mates don't want to revive you. Max players is 6, this can't increase, sorry. If you roll a [6] and have any positive multipliers, they are applied to the next non-overshoot roll. Penalties are subtracted last. Example: +4,  -3 [2+4=6] [8] [8-4=4] final result: failure.

To Enter: A character name.

Players:
1. Arina Zogolas, Human.(mcclay)
2. Theo Huxtable, Dwarf. (agentorangesoda)
3. Joe "JimJam" Jimmity, Naiad. (Sinpwn)
4.  Narmendar Ethineal, Elf. (Caellath)
5. Veira Tinneo, ?. (Tiruin)
6. Mengubah, Kitsune. (zomara0292) max: 6

Updates: whenever I feel like. Usually around 3:00 PM (pacific timezone) with a second around 10:00. I'll update more often if you're fast enough.

Oh god, it's you.

Also this doesn't look particularly balanced, particularly races (Kitsune Inherent +4!? what. Also using my overshoot rules I see?) You may want to head on over to rollers block.

I want in!

I'm not sure if it makes sense for me to have a character's name before a character's species though :\

edit: My character's name is Theo Huxtable

You certainly seem exited to see me...

I'll head over right now and see what needs to be fixed...

Not you, personally. Your GMing abilities, I am slightly cautious of, as I am with every newcomer (Two years of not running a game is something to be wary of, skills wise).

Also using my overshoot rules I see?

I was wondering where I had seen those before.

First or second page of rollers block, back when...

I was young and foolish. Not the Derm you fear today. I can still hear the screams of the dice, and TolyKs maniacal laughter...

While I was out, I did a bit of Dm-ing for a 4th edition D&D group, but it was one of the groups were plot didn't really matter and whatever the D20 said was law. Take from that what you will.

Your saving grace was pre-built structure. Stats and mechanics were built in, health and damage and such.

You will find things much harder once you go freeform.
