((It seems the mage may be smarter than I thought. By the way, either Ratherio or Apollo should be our meat shields in this one.))

"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

(I vote for Ratherio).
((I endorse this. On an unrelated note, if Elenor starts to act like a chocobo, a ninja robot pirate zombie monkey or something in those lines, ignore it. It is all part of the show.

Also, Ratherio was challenged by a little girl and did not accept the challenge.))

"Well, uh is there a way that we won't have to fight you? And still get your help?" Apollo asks the mage.

"No. Since when could you get through a dungeon without fighting?"
"Uh... Because I'm so charming?" Apollo retorts.
"That works in most of the cases, provided that you are actually charming - while you are nice, that isn't enough for anyone superficial enough to notice your air de nerd. You would be considered charming - in comparison - provided your best friends were a hopelessly autistic maniac, a greasy sleazebag of greasiness and a foreigner incapable of speaking with women. As it stands your party isn't even that far off that mark... that might explain that success..."
"Oh. That hurts me." Apollo, deciding pacifism isn't possible in this situation looks around the area for anything he could use to build explosives.

The GM calling me a butt-monkey? That's never a good sign...

((Good luck Ratherio, Taren will be by your back, trying his best to induce White Magic shielding.

And testing out his Sword's power.))

Elenor gives a faint smile.
"Well, Ms. Mage. Since this is a test and we are all inexperienced, although promising adventurers, I am pressed to ask as for why you have such a barrier up. Maybe it does occur to you that Ratherio, who so far has fumbled with his spells for the most part of the exploration, may actually have hidden tricks and be actually able to take you down, staining your reputation?"

He takes a quick peek towards Ratherio before continuing.
"Ma'am, I think our resident dark magic user is not nearly as competent as you think. Then if it is not that, I suppose you fear being attacked by another one of us or by a ratman? I find it very unlikely, although it is absolutely inside your rights to protect your well-being."

"Sorry, but I really like to monologue dramatically without getting interrupted. Perhaps you are of the sort that patiently listens when the person before you is gloating about his evil plans and all... but the fewest of adventurers actually are."

Taren shifted his sword's weight a bit, getting a better grip on the hilt.

"Monologuing is not something done in a true fight, mage. We are all ready, or can't you spare the pleasantries for later on?

Teach with words, and few listen; teach on the field, and many shall learn."
