Gotta love how the story started with religious connotations (mentioning man's creation), then veered into pornography, then came back to religious connotations (the destruction of man).

Hm. On the one hand, we could maybe start a second instance or something, spread things out a bit.

On the other, having long chains is nice, since it gives the stuff more time to mutate.

Yeah, I've had basically the same thought process. The first round had 10 people total and wasn't too small by any means. This round has 17 (plus people signing up for next round already). It wouldn't be very much more trouble for me to run 2 rounds concurrently, and it would theoretically double the speed of output. So maybe if signups continue to increase I'll try that.
