Arianna stood in wonder of the sights around her. Truly, this was a bazaar worthy of admiration.

The left only two questions. One, what she wanted to buy; and two, whether she could afford it.

Examine elemental-resistant bolts of cloth. How do they work, how high quality is the fabric itself, how much do they cost, and so on. Ask how they're made, and whether the same process could be applicable to other materials.

Examine wands. First figure out how wands work in general- are they magical weapons? Consumables with multiple charges? Something else? Also ask how they're made.

Then examine how healing wands work and how much they cost. Also examine frost wands and some sort of cursing wand. See if there's anything for, say, animating golems or summoning servants.

Finally, examine nets.

Ace 6->3 smartly decides to watch what happens with Sandra and Azastre and the blade in Sandra before dragging her to her feet.

Jack touches the stairs with a foot... and is stuck there. He feels the soles of his shoe warming up. Alarm bells ring at the top of the stairs, and feet run.

Arianna

(1) examines the element-resistant fabric.

They are coated with a mixture that deflects elemental attacks.
They cost ten Tower gold marks for the normal ones (heat, cold, acid ...)
They cost fifteen Tower gold marks for elemental ones (fire, electric, ice ...)
They cost twenty Tower gold marks for physical ones (anti-blunt, anti-pierce ...)
All fabric is one-use only, and you can pay 10% more for 75% chance of breaking, 25% more for 50% chance of breaking, and 50% more for 25% chance of breaking each time you use it.

(2) examines wands.

Each wand is a magical weapon with charges, from one to ten. They are made by inserting a charged magic crystal into a stick. They are used by point-and-shoot-by-shouting-the-command-word.

Healing wands cost 3 Tower gold marks per dice roll.
Frost wands? Wands that freeze, or wands that shoot ice? Freezing ones cost 2 marks per charge, or 4 marks per charge with a -1 to resisting.

"Cursing wand" is slightly vague.
Summoning wands do not exist.

(3) Nets.

Nets are barbed and spiked. They come in tube-launchable, and throwable. The throwable ones may inflict damage on the thrower too. The nets immobilize and damage. The nets themselves are multiple use. They cost 8 each, and 2 each for the one-use tubes.

Kahn trains more.

5,1,5=40 pt. Kahn now has Polearms 1!

Rod pockets the evidence 4 evading Azastre, who just made a mistake. He notes the three stairs that were found, a plain one, an ornate one, and a trapped one that Jack has a foot on.

Ace drops his voice to a whisper to say that to Azastre. He then grabs and throws him to the ground, moves as if to throw him, but backs off when the younger man begins trying to intimidate him. He throws his hands into the air in a mock gesture of surrender, then walks off to find high-quality gems and metals for bullet building.

Azastre bites his lip and tears start to swell in his eyes. He hurriedly lets go of the sword and tries to explain it is not his fault, there is always someone tampering with his life and causing him to do horrible things at least 1/6 of the times he tries to do anything, even when said actions would be so simple even a child would be able to accomplish without failing.

He then proceeds to stare at Ace in a way that clearly reads "You can come closer later, let me fix what I did right now. Or I won't forgive you." The last part is evidenced by a relatively creepy murder stare and a shuffling of his rifle.

Azastre tries to help Sandra unlodge the sword and heals her, using his own HP as a booster to enhance effectiveness. He also attacks and immobilizes Ace by Pankration grappling moves if the latter tries to come closer and do anything funny, taking away his initiative.

Background: Known to be a deviant person, Ire was brought up with knowledge of the law and it's rapport with the common people. Living her life as a lone vigilante in the prime cities, stopping would-be-muggers and thieves, she has learned most of her own skills from the people she tracks.

Arianna was a bit disappointed with the fabric. She had no doubts as to its effectiveness, but was less certain about utilizing consumables. This was also her concern regarding the wands, though a wand of healing sounded tempting as an emergency supply. Not that a free pass for potentially lethal blows wasn't, but even then the odds of a dire threat matching her selection weren't that good.

A net did sound tempting, though. She'd have to consider that.

First, however, she thought she'd see if they had any more... substantial weapons. She'd been unarmed far too long, and wasn't too keen on moving exclusively to a support role from there.

Examine swords for sale.

Examine high-quality metals for sale.

Examine precious metals and gems for sale.

See if there's such a thing as a non-charged magical weapon, or perhaps a weapon that's easily recharged.
