Arianna clutched her sides, shivering. If she was suffering from frostbite, she needed warmth. And to get the poison out of her, but that was probably beyond her abilities at the moment.

"Gretel!" she exclaimed, wondering how she would convince a Fire Terracotta to aid her before remembering that Gretel commanded similar magic. "I'm suffering from frostbite, do you think you could generate warmth without hurting me?"

Then she glanced down at the flamethrower in her pocket. She never had gotten around to giving that to the lady who had lost hers...

Diplomacy Gretel. See if I can warm myself by the fire of the flamethrower.

Azastre 5,2,5 +10= 15 HP healed for Arianna. He burns 3 HP to try to expel poison from Arianna's body, but it seems healing just doesn't work that way.

Shadow  2 makes a very annoyed face, walks back...then gets hit in the back by a flying jack-o-lantern for 7 dmg. He runs away and 5 gets back to the safe area.

Rod 5 pets the lizard again. It mauls him... playfully. He takes 7 dmg and gains 1 frost resistance.

Ace 3 "We train for fighting, too..."

Kahn 1 thinks that there is no way possible to get venom out of the body once it's spread. 6->1 He asks a passing Terracotta if there is a way to solve the venom problem of his friend. She looks sideways at Arianna, then comments, "You could try praying." Kahn presses her some, and she eventually says, "No, the venom of that particular kind of dragon lizard doesn't have an antidote. It's partly why we keep them around. Tell your companion," she points to Ire, "to be careful with them."

Arianna 6->4 accosts Gretel, shivering while walking towards where she was hiding behind a pillar. She asks her to make her warm. Gretel replies with a flat what.

"You know what happens if I use fire magic in front of those pedantic Waters? I'm probably going to be either shot to death full of crystals, hit with huge snowmen heads until I die, or captured and tortured." 

Arianna looks pale and shivers more, hanging onto Gretel pitifully. Gretel sighs, and finally draws a simple circle in the air. A tiny animal, which looked like a laughing jack-o-lantern with a ribbon in its stalk, scampers out of the air and hops onto Arianna. She feels warmer. The venom now takes 10% of her total HP per turn. +20 exp to Diplomacy.

Shouting catches her attention, and she turns to notice three or four Water Terracottas running over to Gretel and Arianna. Gretel breaths a curse and runs. One of the two huge circles on the wall start changing color to the light blue that tells you a huge number of icicles are going to pop out of the floor.

1 Arianna flicks the flamethrower on and watches the fastest Water Terracotta catch fire.

10% * 24 = 3 dmg taken from the venom.

Ire 5,4,1= 6 HP casts Field Healing.
1 The lizard is too busy mauling Rod to be tamed.

Ire also pokes her fire chaser again. It seems they don't cast any heat at all.

Kahn had an idea so stupid it bordered on brilliance. "Lady Salgrief, perhaps we should go to the Fire Terracotta and see if they have a tamed beast that makes one's blood boil instead of freeze. Then if that bit you, it might cancel out the effect of this one," he suggested. If she agreed, he'd escort her to their territory. It was probably a good idea to leave right now anyway. (Assuming they can get to it easily enough, of course.)

Ace 6->6->5 "Recreation? Why would you need recreation in a war?" She looks genuinely confused as to what he means. Suddenly, an alarm sounds, and she runs off. The Water Terracotta dropped something, though, a small orb, made of what seems to be glass and is as multi-hued as an opal. It's the size of his palm.

Kahn and Arianna 3 run towards the unguarded corridor! Behind them, Gretel shouts a string of words, including "help me dammit" and a word or two that starts with f, ends with u-c-k-s, and definitely isn't firetrucks. Both Kahn and Arianna feel that if that certain folk tale that being on the receiving end of lots of swears and curses make them live longer is true, they would live very long indeed. However, 5 the Waters don't pay attention to the two, and they safely make it into the danger zone. The corridor between the Fires and the Waters, around three hundred meters long, is pockmarked with explosions and shards of broken rock. 4 The Fire Terracottas don't shoot on sight, seeing that they aren't wearing the colored robes of the Waters and that one of them is a man. One calls out, asking what brought them there.

Arianna takes 3 dmg. Her tiny jack-o-lantern continues to warm her, and prevents some of her damage. Perhaps the fact that she has a Fire spell on her would influence the Fire Terracottas positively.

Rod 2 fails to make lucid healing work. He stands there, kinda awkwardly, doing nothing.

Azastre flops to the ground. 4,1,5= 6 HP healed.

He watches about seven Water Terracottas charge Gretel (which is rather stupid, considering they don't seem to be the melee type) and start casting spells, only to be either kicked, punched, or tripped. Sometimes all three, when unlucky. Gretel is slightly outmatched, though, as she is hit by a pair of bouncing snowman heads, which on contact make her skin a pale blue.

Ire 1 fails to make any bond, emphatic or otherwise, with the lizard. It bites Ire. 1 dmg It seems that it only wanted to play, but Ire takes 1 damage and feels something cool enter her bloodstream ...

Arianna skidded to a halt and spun on her heels, shouting "Be right back!" to the Fires before taking off in the direction she had just come from. She had hoped Gretel would either escape notice or follow behind them, but apparently neither had come to pass.

She didn't slow down as she approached the Waters.

Ram some of the Waters off Gretel, then grab her and run back to the Fires. Train Athletics?
