Dig a long vertical shaft of up/down stairs, with a hatch at the top and the entrance to the bottom controlled by a raisable drawbridge.. Then the FB will have a path into your fort, and will charge. Lock the hatch when it's on the shaft and close the drawbridge, and it will be confined to the shaft. Cave-in. Done.

My favorite method requires a magma reservoir - dig a windy path connecting the caverns to your fort, have somewhere in the passage be a door connected to the reservoir; in front of the door put a pressure plate set to trigger on magma which raises drawbridges sealing off both ends of the tunnel. FB is now trapped in a corridor which is filling with magma. Many FBs will be melted by the magma. Those that aren't will be immobilized; even magma-safe FBs don't path around when immersed in magma. So you can drop a cave-in on its head or channel out the ceiling and throw in a single bucket of water.

Lately, I'm proud of MAGMA LANDMINES:

And been a bit smug over generating a world with an elephant monster that got 87763 sentient kills.
