Leather is reserved for waterskins, backpacks and moods!

I'm starting textile industries from day one now. It's a good and reliable way to make crafts, really.

This is the way that I do it. And yeah, goblins have been close enough in size to share armor and clothes since DF2010.

I really need to start in on clothes, now...  I've ignored them before, with no problems.  But I've now had 2 children throwing tantrums due to a lack of clothes (34.06) - and the second just calmed down then went insane.  For some reason, the 2 year old wasn't happy owning a pair of socks.

Do we know the acceptable minimum?  Like... does a dress and socks and shoes qualify?  Do they need underwear as well?  Robes?  Togas?

Also, do we know what clothing lasts longer?  I've been making everything out of leather, since telling the dwarf caravan to bring maximum leather of all types gives me more than enough, and it's theoretically more protective than other choices.

I have been getting by just fine on shirt, trousers, shoes and socks.

They love to wear more than that if available, but that keeps their disgusting hairy bodies covered sufficiently that they don't throw tantrums.

I make socks, shoes/boots, vests, trousers and dresses. I've also made mittens, gloves and hoods because everytime a dwarf died there's been a riot (well, not really) over who gets to claims his xPig Tail Fibre Hoodx.

And I've also had a miner claim a goblin's troll fur loincloth, despite being fully dressed.
