What cash value does something have to have for a dwarf to consider it completely sublime? (Supposing no preference for the materials.)

Yes, I think so? The wiki says:

It sounds like quality contributes to the value, but its the cash(dwarfbucks) value that makes dwarves happy. So if that's true, it would be nice to know how said values correlate to happy thoughts. If I want sublime furniture, should I aim for a $2000 item? $4000? $10,000?

Maybe, maybe not. We don't know what those higher-quality items actually look like, remember, and the humans specifically mention that the craftsdwarfship of the dwarves is "unparallelled." Also, said humans never seem to show up with anything over *quality*, so perhaps that's the best they can possibly create. If the finest artwork a human has ever made is merely 1/3 as good as a dwarf's great work, those seemingly-unadorned masterwork items may be truly wondrous.
