So down in my magma forge I assigned like 10 peasants specifically to haul bars and finished goods but they will hardly touch them at all, what gives?

Edit: I figured out the problem, to get magma  burrows working you need to turn off all of your other bar/block piles from accept metal.
2nd Edit: I found that locking the dwarves in the magma forge basement greatly speeds up the process.
